Right? My son naturally protects his sister. Sure, he messes with her as any sibling does, but he's the only one allowed lol. He stopped talking to our neighbors after they took her dolls (which she's very attached to) and started kicking them across the yard and made her cry. Two weeks later he was at a visit with his dad and she went to see if they neighbors could play and they shut the door in her face and ignored her existence. When he found out, needless to say, he was extremely mad and made that well known.

Well since he’s treated on a pedestal, he probably thinks they’re beneath him at this point … but some kids do feel bad when they get treated well and seeing the other one treated badly… I hope that turns the boy against his mom seeing that

I wish my mom had wanted involvement with my wedding. All I heard from the minute I got engaged was that I was "selfish" for wanting an actual wedding, not a civil union in a court house (that I don't remember) However it was fine for my brother to have a church wedding in the middle of covid. It turned out tacky AF since they had the reception in the church basement, the original caterer got sick and the back had food that was canned and frozen.

The one that should hold them accountable is the fathers... If you are parents and you make tiktoks that is already a red flag in itself. How you have time to act like a teenager when you have kids to look after? And the fact that the content that these moms create are bordering on abusive behavior (towards the girls) and the dad doesn't put a stop to that??? The message these moms are sending to their daughters is going to damage them in the long run, it's not "just a tiktok" to those girls. Imagine your own mom making tiktoks where you are constantly compared to your brother and that your brother is perfect in every way etc. That is goddamn sad.

My stepmother is a full on misogynistic boy mom and she was always coming up with reasons about why boys are superior including "less drama than girls"... Well her "less drama" son grew up to be a spoiled violent predator with a criminal record before he even turned 21. She covers for him and has his "less drama" visits of cops frequently at their house cos he can't behave. Women like her are literally raising their sons to be a mess and I hope they're well aware that they're either pushing their sons completely away or raising them to be incompetent life mooching little monsters like my sibling.

My mom doesn’t do this, but my grandma does, me and my younger brother always get called out for litterally nothing while my older brother could get away with murder, my older brother even noticed this and called her out for it, one time my younger brother was wearing a sweater and she got mad and yelled “why are you wearing your sweater inside?!” Or when my grandma was taking my older brother to work and my younger one asked where she was going and she said “what’s it to ya?” My older brother called her out for it, whenever I try to fix a mistake I made, like if I forgot to do a chore, she’ll just say “no, I’ll just do it” and then the next day she’ll complain about it and tell my mom, I don’t understand why, and it hurts me a lot sometimes.

I have two older brothers, and my mother loves them more than me and she doesn't hide it. Eventually when I grew a little bit older I saw the favoritism, and when her friends started noticing it too, she took me shopping for new clothes, which I desperately needed and asked for months prior. I saw right through what she was doing, she voiced recorded me to show off her friends im okay and treated right but I mostly didn't answer any questions because I was a shy kid. She later got mad at me for it. Several years later when she started noticing I didn't talk with her much or I didn't talk to her at all she realized she fucked up. She apologized several times but I never apologized her truly and I think I never will. So my heart goes for those little girls, they will never forget it, their mother can buy them all the toys they want but it's never going to be the same

My mom forgot about my birthday and stood me up for almost 3 hours at a cafe we agreed on because my brother was having an “emergency”. He needed money, that was his emergency. It really wrecked me and I felt so worthless. I have never opened up my heart to her ever since, I’ve learned to be detached. Edit: For years I’ve struggled with the fact that she loved my brother more than me and my sister, I’ve called her out on it but she would deny. She never acknowledged or believed it to be true, till this day. I just mentioned this particular event since I have seriously considered throwing myself in front of a vehicle at that very same day. I guess I equated my value to her affection to me, but now I’m just detached. But yeah, it triggered me to a deep depression that won’t just go away.

"To the spa, shopping, getting nails done!" These are all activities the MOM would want to do. Why would kids under the age of 6 have that much fun at these activities? Of course the kid said "no" when asked if she had fun. Why not bring her girls to the park, or the pool, or something they could get messy with? A Macdonald's play place or whatever the girls like? Mom's not putting in effort to repair the relationship. She just wanted a day to herself for some pampering and used her girls as accessories.

Even at home, mom and my aunties are the ones required to do the chores since they are the "daughters". And guess what? Their salaries also include my uncle's tuitions. My grandma would even ask them for their money because uncle needed to buy something. Yeah, rn. Uncle still lives with my grandma. He has two baby mamas (separated from the first one), has 7 total kids. Doesn't have a stable job because he dropped out from college since he got his first baby momma pregnant. Yes, my mom and aunt gave him tuition money for naught. My mom on the other hand finished college and now has a stable job.

My mother used to be so possesive over me since I met my current boyfriend who I met when both of us were 16, even though he was her friend's son, she would threat him very bad. Once I turned 18 years old I couldn't tolerate it anymore, so I asked for help from the rest of my family because the issue went to a point where she aisle me from everyone. I went to terapy because I got depression as a result of all that shit and my mom too, she used to say that "I was the only love of her life and she would die if I ever left her alone" ;_; I'm glad all of that stopped and we are ok now, but I don't want to let this happen again so I took some distance since then. I'm 20 now, studying a career that I love (my boyfriend's mom stopped being friends with my mother of course) so everything is good :,) Love u layze 💕

Sorry if this sounds offensive, but your mother was being a bit of a weirdo.. I’m sure she’s nice, but doesn’t she understand that that is really weird behaviour? I’m sorry that you had to get therapy. Parents need to stop being so obsessive over their children and let them live their own lives.

I feel so grateful that my mom wanted daughters. These millennial moms need to spend time in therapy, not social media.

I dislike the color pink & so when i had my daughter we avoided it of course it worked its way in some things are too cute to say no too. But my daughter was a purple baby 💜 & i have 4 boys including identical twins & theyre all equally loved & special to me. I just feel like with my daughter she has no sisters so she is my heart and soul. So are my boys but because she doesn't have a sister i try to talk to her and let her know she always has mom even though she didn't get the sister she wished for.❤ My kids are such a blessing 😭

Your child isn't a mini you they're their own person so just because you don't like something especially something as simple as a color they don't have to not like it and vice versa no hate tho you seem like a wonderful mom

I'm pregnant with a boy now and everyone keeps telling me boys are so much more loving and I'll never know love like my baby boy and no man will ever love me like my boy does.... Idk I'm struggling with the fact I'm going to be a 'boy mom' lol I always wanted a girl but this trend of toxic boy moms is making it even harder to get excited about having a boy.

I say you love your boy unconditionally because he is your child. You will not be a toxic boy mom for having a boy but for discriminating or not properly treating your girls.

As a daughter of a girl dad, I can confirm that he absolutely did the “I was your first love” bullsh!t and it was very, very icky. He tried to guilt-trip me, saying that he fed me, clothed me and took care of me when I showed my mom a picture of my crush, Leonardo DiCaprio (look, he was a young heartthrob in 1997, okay?). My dad stormed away with hugging me or wishing me well when I went to visit my ex-fiancé in another state. It is definitely a weird feeling.

Just lost our 21 yr old cat last week. I still cry thinking of him. 😢 And my eulogy to him I called myself Mommy. 😂 My Great Grama used to tell her kids (there were five) that she loved them equally. Like the fingers on her hand. Individual. All part of her. Loved equally.
