Calling a child spoiled for not liking a brush for ripping her hair out is so strange. People who want kids to accept pain and abuse are something else
@nekoabernathy9831 Жыл бұрын
I imagine they are the same people who tell their kids they have to respect their elders no matter what, even if that elder is disrespecting them or abusing them. My parents taught me to respect people who respect you back and just because they're older or your teachers or even your family that doesn't mean they can mistreat you or disrespect you but you still have to respect them. It got me in trouble a few times In school because I "talked back" to teachers but it was always for a good reason and I never just let anyone disrespect me or mistreat me, my dad especially always had my back & always asked for my side of the story. I remember once he told my teacher "hey she doesn't just disrespect anyone so you must have done something to her" btw the teacher (a man) told me my shorts were too small and said "I can see your a$$ cheeks" so I called him a pedo & walked out, the principle measured my shorts and they were in code, the same teacher was fired later for making inappropriate remakes about children on the wrestling team.

For anyone looking for a good brush get a tangle teezer. I was severely depressed for 2 1/2 years and my hair was extremely tightly matted. Every other brush hurt badly to the point where I was in tears and didn't seem to be effective. It got to the point where there was genuine consideration of just shaving it all off. There was no detangle shampoo or anything made for "matted hair" that would help. The only reason it got brushed out in the end was because we had a tangle teezer and that thing put in the work. It still took a week but I was able to keep the large majority of my hair. It's great at detangling tight knots without tugging on the hair as much as other brushes and causing more pain. 100% recommend ever since, I've never been able to use another brush after.

None of this would be a problem if people brushed their hair the proper way to begin with. No matter the hair texture, you start at your TIPS, not your roots. You start at the tips and I promise you'll have an easy time brushing yours and your child's hair. My mother used to rip my hair out by starting at the roots and tearing downwards. I went through a phase of not brushing my hair because it was so painful, then I got older and learned my mom was brushing my hair completely wrong and taught me how to do it completely wrong. Not had a problem since.

Omg, same! I have 3a hair and my mom used ro rip out my already thin fragile curls, thinning it even more. She did the same with her 3b hair because no one taught her that you need to be gentle and patient with curly hair ( and with any hair, really, but especially with dry and fragile curls). Luckily when I became a teenager, the internet became more accessible, so I found out how to brush my hair and have taught my mom how to brush hers. It's weird that so many people don't know how to brush their hair without pain and tears and normalise it for their kids making them hate brushing their hair when it can be quite enjoyable if done properly.

When the kid brushed her hair with the original brush, she was holding her hair tight. Doing that makes it hurt less because you pull on the hair under yourhand and it doesn‘t pull the hair above as much. Most likely doesn‘t make much sense if you don‘t have long hair though lol.

It doesn't matter what brush you buy if you don't know how to brush your hair! Just yanking through hair like that is needless ... Unless you enjoy pain. 😂 A simple "rocking" motion with the brush through the hair detangles very well. Without the trauma.

I've got hair down to my ass. If you're white, tangled hair, brushes with those natural fine bristles is the best to get the tangles out quicker without it being really sore and stops a lot of breakage as well. I get big matts in my hair as well. It's unbrushable while it's wet. My hair dresser has a bad time with it and now I just take my own brushes because of it.

I might have some biases here as a curly girl, but there’s something about watching people with naturally more straight hair complaining about how hard it is to brush their hair that gets to me lol. Not to say there’s no difficulty to be had because their hair is straight, but they’re also starting from the root instead of the ends and working up. There are better brushes for de-tangling than the one they’re arguing over. I love the kids honesty about the brush being just as terrible as a regular brush.

As someone with straight hair. If I didn't brush it constantly, it would get super tangled super easily (I had natural blonde hair that looked bleached which did make it easier to get tangled). I can confirm that what brush I used didn't really matter as much as HOW I brushed it. People with straight hair don't know what they're really doing with it in my opinion because we were taught that you don't need to do anything with it. Y'all with curly hair seem so much smarter about your hair and I wish I was taught as appropriately as you guys were. Even if you had to learn on your own, there's so much information specified towards curly or ethnic hair and straight hair is kind of expected that we know what we're doing cuz it's the easiest to take care of so everyone with straight hair thinks they know what they're talking about. You guys figured it out, we clearly haven't yet.

Now, she would be using “looks” synonymously with “seems”, as some people do, however, I don’t think that usage is likely to make it into a blind persons casual vocabulary. Besides the word nor meaning much to them, I would figure tons of people would say “looks?” Everytime she said it and that would get super annoying, causing her to just not say. Cutting it from her vocabulary would be no big deal. Soooo TL;DR I think this woman just used her sister to fake a visual disability for money.

My mom once told the hairdresser I was tender headed and the lady still didn't go easy. I start from the bottom, do the underside of the bottom, do the top, do the back area and underside of the back area since it gets tangled there the most, and then do the underside. I separate my hair into two so it's easier. I also have thick hair. So being tender-headed and having thick hair is not a good mix. It took me long before I figured out how to brush my hair properly. @@mysteryheart53 blind people still say words like look and see even though they may not able to like a sighted person, also some people prefer to use tactile sensation to visualize objects and their surroundings(it's also how the braille system functions and is used universally regardless of a blind persons level of visual impairment mostly, it depends on the person and what they prefer) complete total blindness where you may not be able to perceive light and shapes at all is really rare and only makes up about less than 1% of the total community. Even then they still have their own ways of adapting to living with that level of visual impairment and it doesn't invalidate those who may have less of a level of visual impairment from them. How someone experienced vision loss can also be different than people expect, some are born blind because of a congenital condition, some acquire vision loss because of a traumatic eye injury, some become blind because of an ocular disease infection or even because of autoimmune disorders
