Just like my Chihuahua when I tried to get protective booties on her so she could go outside in the snow, She would sit there give me a look like, "you're kidding right?" Then she proceeded to yank the booties off every time. I ended up house-training her, so as to avoid her displeasure. But the look on her face was priceless! LOL!

Tika is a sweet little girl. Hopefully she'll adjust to her sweater. I'm sure that at first, it feels weird to her although Sphynx need to be kept warm due to the lack of fur. Thanks for posting!

Love this! My sphynx reacted the same way and then he started not minding it. I have a friend who's sphynx begs for sweaters! Of course an animal won't like it right away but they get used to it'!! :) sphynx power !

i had a friend once who owned a golden retriever and they had to put socks on her because she slipped on the floor. It's uncomfortable for them at first and they need to get used to it, but most of the time there's a reason for petowners putting clothes on the animals

Such a pretty little spyhynx! =) I have a male one myself. You should try the sweater again in my opinion, but for short periods at a time, 5-10mins every now and then. She'll get used to it, and eventually love the warmth. =) Perhaps try a couple different ones too. Mine is was very awkward in his old harness, but seems absolutely fine in his new one. =)

You should try something tight first like stretchable sock (cut holes in it), they get used to that faster, then lose clothing after they're comfortable with the socks.

People on KZbin are very quick to blow the animal cruelty whistle because they have nothing better to do apparently. They've probably never had a pet that was more accustomed to hot climates, like chihuahuas. At worst putting clothes on an animal is a minor annoyance for them, at best it could save their lives in winter if they don't have enough fur.

Is it mean to try and provide your kitty with warmth by putting a sweater on it? No. She has no fur for god's sake! What IS mean is seeing her freeze and not doing anything to help. The gene is in the cat, it is a spontaneous mutation it was selected like dogs, cows, sheep, whit and even bananas. they are from CANADA and they like to be warm , if they live in a warmer place they do not need clothing.
