One thing I’ve learned about being on trail is that the opportunities you pass up are the regrets you have when the trails done. Enjoy what you can while being safe! We’re here for you. You go girl!

Wow Tracey! This episode was amazing! I’ve heard others say that a successful thru hike is just constantly making adjustments. I really like how you have described for us what it is like adjusting to a new tramily and how it is so difficult to find someone who matches your pace and your preferred hiking times etc. gives me so much more appreciation for what it takes to get to where you are going! You’re like really roughing it out there to some really really rough spots. I’ve seen some of the other through hikers that I’m following experience, the same kind of things in that section. And yet you guys always amaze me you still take time to get amazing footage even to see those butterflies was just amazing.! Hike on Girl!! You are killin it out there!

I love that you found a hiker ‘family.’ I like it even more when you realized that you needed to do your own thing. It’s a tricky balance to want to share your experience with others and having your own style of hiking. It’s nice to have both. Some days are really rough but you tough it through. Love it!

It took me 4 hours to cover 2.5 miles through the snow by Mushroom Rock on about June 30. It was a slow day. You are doing really well. Much beauty ahead. Pine

This is great ! Thank you for taking me in a place I’ll never be able to see as I’m almost 72. I used to hike all over New York and Pa and those days are gone. Be careful and I’ll be keeping you in my prayers that you remain safe

Glad you had a snow free section around grizzly peak…I was on the road up grizzly peak in mid May, I could see the PCT covered with snow and a steep slope, so opted for the road, and that was not better…the snow won, I turned around at mile 1459

I was fortunate. That section would be terrifying with snow. There are some very brave souls out there.

You could swim in the Mc cloud river but never filter cloudy water cuz it’s glacier melt. Not poisonous but will give you diarrhea. It has tons of minerals in it. It would be like drinking milk of magnesia. Lol. So if the campground has water, take advantage. Mc cloud falls is gorgeous if you are ever up that way snd can explore the area. Thanks for posting

There wasn't any water on at the campground. We all collected from the river. Fortunately no toots from doing that 😅

I really enjoyed hiking on my own on my Section A hike and even slept better when I camped alone, however I really enjoyed seeing the same people here and there. Of course I only went the 109 miles. I'm so curious to see how that might or might not change when I do longer sections. 🤞next year! I can so relate to your hiking style. I'm excited to see each video pop up. I'm interested in more info about your bug shelter. 🌻💛

I feel exactly the same way. I want to see people and know they're around me, but I also love my freedom to come and go without explanation. Thank you for the nice words, you're so sweet 🩷 Sea to Summit Nano Pyramid Net Ultralight Shelter a.co/d/673suMO

Hi Tracy, glad to see you back on the trail, I can feel the awkwardness of your hike today cuz you are with other people... Honestly, I would be the same way everybody does their own pace and has their own interests... I felt like you were not yourself when you were with those other people... I know this video is almost 2 months ago and I have been watching some other guy's name. The Codgers who are ahead of you in Oregon, are probably in Washington now because for them it is August so a little more recent... I am watching this video on August 20th so most likely you are probably around the same place they are... Into Washington... Oregon is a much faster hike than California is. That's brutal... Anyway, I love your commentary. Your nature shots, sharing your opinions and struggles makes it real... And here's what I learned. Never exercise with a man. They have different muscle structure and more endurance than women do . Sorry to say that guys... It's like they lose weight faster, I remember years ago when I was at weight watchers one of the bits of advice was never lose weight with a man because they lose it quicker... Do things with the girls...lol... Anyway, love your content and safe travels to you dear.

They got longer legs... longer strides. I can sympathize. I have to take three steps to the taller guys two... Slow and steady wins the race.

Condor you are making great progress but not at the cost of not showing us the beautiful scenery, the dance of the butterflies and all the other interesting bugs on your way. Thank you for that. Loving your journey. 🥰🙏🏻

The screen shelter you used to rest mosquito-free; was it the screen from your tent, or something else? Man, bugs drive me insane.

Prefer solo hiking; too much drama it seems with groups (one or two people is more manageable/tolerable in my opinion)
