For lay boxes use see through containers. So you can see if there's eggs without digging through the laybox

Correct me if im wrong but if they have two pairs of the lily white gene its fatal you can have a lily white with high pattern without health issues if they only have one lily white parent

Soooo I have a bit of an issue. I went to clean my crested geckos tank and I found a baby already hatched. I removed the baby from the tank and put him in his own enclosure but now I feel like my crested gecko might be looking for him. It sounds weird but they almost look sad. Should I put the baby back in the tank with mom or should I just leave him in his own little enclosure? 😬

Each gecko is different in how you incubate them. Some are more similar then others tho. I breed cresties, but I don’t do leopard geckos so forgive me if any of this information is wrong 🤣. But I *think* leopard geckos are incubated in a different way. If I’m remembering correctly, the temperature is a bigger difference. Try and watch a video of how to breed leopard geckos! Hope this helps!

Hey tikisgeckos ive had my male and female crestie together in a temporary enclosure for about 6 months with no intent on breeding them and I moved them today and found 2 fertile but very old eggs and something told me to cut them open and I did and I found 2 mummified little cresties what causes this and how can I prevent it in the future? I did notice that the ground around the eggs was very hard and I worry the ground may have been too hard for the babies to hatch

Absolutely. Just be aware that if you're gecko isn't used to people they might prefer to be left alone Mine takes a little bit to settle once he does he just hangs out

Prepare the female by giving her a lay box, if you want to keep the eggs id suggest an incubator, if not slap em in a freezer for 30minutes 😅 sucks but a super humane way to ‘abort’ the potential kiddos..

Did I understand right: You keep your geckos year around and don't seperate the male and the female for a little period? I just heard so many different opinions, but it's interesting to hear yours. Of course it's important to take care of the female and look after her. But almost everyone is telling me I would have to seperate male and female for half of the year if I'd keep both of them...

For an "educational video" it's rather upsetting to see SO MANY arboreal animals being crammed in horizontal enrichment-denying basic tubs. We can do better people, don't normalize this treatment towards animals. Reptiles need environmental enrichment and enclosures that are suited for the species.
