You're welcome. ^_^ I don't think that stove is original either. Doesn't seem consistent with the old timey sink and clawfoot tub. Just too new. The house I grew up in still has a stove in it from the 50s at earliest. So many memories there... Last I saw it, it and the wall behind it were covered in grease because nobody ever bothered to give it a good cleaning. We moved there after buying it in 1994. The gas line going to it was the flexible type but completely stiffened over time. Always feared it might break lol. If gas is still on there, the pilot light will still be on. The electric was at some point shut off. Sadly, due to a number of circumstances including a major septic failure, outdated, dangerous wiring and non-working outlets, we had to leave. Also, my mom had a terrible hoarding problem. The whole place is piled sky high with junk. We last lived in it 2010 when a tree root destroyed a sewage pipe. Long before that even it was falling down around us. The bathroom sink broke off the wall and damaged some plumbing in there and the floor. Years ago, we had a wooden fire escape staircase built on which ultimately compromised the integrity of the back wall by drilling bolts through it. Good thing is, with rowhouses back and front walls are never load-bearing. It's basically unliveable now. It was extremely cold while I was there but it was familiar. They did a poor job on that. Unfortunately as well, we're going to lose it to foreclosure because my mom took out too many loans on it she couldn't pay back. Maybe that is for the best because it's in a worsening state of disrepair and we don't have the money to properly care for a vacant property... I tell this story because maybe the family who owned this little home had a similar situation.

It would make a good house for one of these tours. :) The floors are all still good and strong. Though in the basement, one could see the rafters under the kitchen were gray and stained from some fridge leaking. Under the living room, they were pristine and new looking even though that block was built in 1920.

I grew up in a similar place as that . We had an out house, no bathroom, washer and dryer were out in the shed, no running water just well water. It was great growing up in a place like that. You would have to be there to understand I guess. Great video as always.

This house looks like it was a wonderful place to live at one time, plenty of space for children to play; these big developers are quick to build onto these spaces with their cookie cutter houses...shame; I would love to own land that needed some work...great walk through tiki...I love your work

I noticed the drainage line for the clothes washer runs into the kitchen sink. Potentially very messy, but better than washing in a bucket I suppose. I didn't see a bathroom tho, or outhouse. Did I miss that? I'm surprised there was no vandalism with a development so close by. Probably lots of kids living in that neighbourhood.

This house reminds me of the first house my husband and I owned-2 bedrooms, 1 bath, living room, galley kitchen with an eat-in space. And washer and dryer in the kitchen. Less than 550sqft. I called it my dollhouse and I loved it. The house shrank after our son was born-it just couldn't handle 3 people and my housecall practice too so we had to find larger digs. This little house looked loved by a woman too, probably a mother by the look of the little dolphin decals on the bathtub. All the colors were happy, and at least one hose in the gardening room had a plant-watering head on it so she grew something-flowers and/or vegetables. All the stuff in the outbuildings sure was a puzzlement, however, almost like a hoarder's stash. I hope this woman and family moved on for good positive reasons too. Oh, if only the walls could talk, just for a little while!

That is awesome. Your dollhouse sounded cute and cozy. I would love to live in something like that all fixed up now that my kids have moved on. It was also in a great location until development started closing in on it. I drive by there a lot and see they have the bulldozers ready to go. There's another house in front of it also abandoned, more of a bungalow ranch style in great shape, but it's locked up and being taken care of only for its demise. I really do wish walls could talk. I'd be having many an interesting conversation with them I'm sure!.

Just wanted to clarify: maybe two or more generations lived on the property and used two houses; not at all unusual in the past and maybe more common in rural areas. I grew up in a 3-generation household with the older generation in one part of the house and the younger two generations in another part but all of us still mixing together at times.

My theory: the big shed full of chairs & other items is actually a smaller, older house. The uncovered window is too big & tall for a shed. I believe that building is/was a small house with two front doors and tall windows, maybe a porch once. I've seen that arrangement here in Indiana. Possibly the main house was built in the early 1900's & the other maybe later became a storage building. Perhaps two or more generations lived there. I've seen houses that came to be used as farm buildings.

Question for Tiki? After all the urbex tours you've taken us on, have you ever run onto a snake? When my brothers and sisters and I were kids, our parents leased an old abandoned lake house for us to live in. When we first began it's cleanup, we discovered the large upstairs attic was infested with large Black Snakes! Talk about creepy! Our Dad was told to sprinkle lye soap over the floor of that space and it worked! Apparently it burns their skin? We lived there for over ten years or so. Perhaps you should wear a pair of tall leather boots? Be careful our awesome tour guide. ~oO(♪)Oo~

That does sound scary. We don't have many snakes in this area of Ontario. The only type would be the garter snake which is non-venomous. And even then, we rarely see them. When growing up, we had a back porch that was infested with those but they were harmless. Even in the few houses I did in Florida, I didn't come across any, fortunately so!
