Love your commitment getting out there and freezing so we can watch a video.👍. I have two tikka's, An old m65 in 270 that had to be rebarelled from so many years of service and recently(probably 3yrs) got a t3 super varmint in 300winmag, fitted a Burris Eliminator 3 to it and absolutely love the accuracy. Sub 4" groups at 600yds with remington corelokt 150gr factory ammo. Its ridiculously accurate out of the box, Zero modifications or upgrades. Would definitely recommend tikka to anybody looking for high quality accurate value

i just picked up the Tikka T3X Lite in 300 win mag also topped up with a Vortex 3x9x50mm scope and put a Limbsaver recoil pad and paired up with Federal Premium 180gr Nosler Partitions love this gun, had it up to the range a couple of times and shoots awesome!! great video btw

Tikkas 3x are relatively inexpensive because of plastic components....plastic stock with no aluminum bed, plastic trigger guard, plastic magazine, plastic bolt release, etc. They originally had aluminum recoil lug and plastic bolt shroud...they are now improved to steel recoil lug and aluminum bolt shroud as well as foam filled stock. I purchased a stainless steel Tika T3x lite in .270 Win and it is shooting subMOA with my handloads....muzzle velocity standard deviation of 4.6 fps shooting 130 gr TTSX and 4350 powder for hunting up here in Alaska. I like it because it is accurate and a lightweight all-weather mountain rifle.

Thank you very much sir. Great shooting!!. I have the same caliber in a tikka t3 lite (older model ) rifle. I shoot the 150 gr. Winchester deer season xp which produces less than a half inch group at 100 yards. I can cover the holes with a dime. I am going to try some on those 180 gr. Federal that you are using. Have a blessed day

Love my T3X Superlight in 6.5 CM. Wonderful light gun. Gorgeous Walnut. It lives up to the sub MOA guarantee. Question for you. I am desperately looking for a Valmet M76 firing pin (5.56). Can you find surplus firing pins for Sako military rifles in 5.56? Would you have any idea if there’s a company that fabricated them? I tried Sako’s site but it was not obvious.

I have the same rifle in .308. Topped it off with a Vortex Viper HS LR 4X16 X 50 mounted with a DNZ Game Reaper one piece mount. I was thinking about the Limb Saver for that as well. I might pick up the 30 06 just to have. Lovin my 308.

I just picked up a Tikka T3x Lite chambered in 30-06, exactly like yours. Can you tell me what part number you used for the Limbsaver Pad? I see you have the old style limbsaver, on their site they don't list one by application for the T3x, only the new style limbsaver which im not fond of. Great video! Thanks for putting this out there.

Nice shooting. I'm on the fence making a decision on what to buy. You have given me another reason to go Tikka. I had a T3 lite stainless years ago in 30-06 that was a tack driver. For whatever reason I sold it. I may have to get another one.

Nice rifle. You should restock it in a laminate stock bedded. It would look very nice and it would add a little bit of weight and it will calm the recoil down a little. But still be plenty light to carry. Thanks

Yea, i recommend taking some Tryactin pills Try-actin like a man. Its a freaking 3006 dude, its not gonna kill you. Its not a 2 gauge muzzlelaoder shooting 1/4lb of powder. Its a mental thing, youre afraid of the recoil which in turn makes you focus on it and make it worse. You are a coward

Put 60 rounds through mine in one day. No shoulder pain the next day. Honestly, my dads Rem. 700 in 7mm mag with the walnut stock recoils more. Yes it does recoil, but no where like a mule.

What made you pick a. 30-06 over a 7mm mag or a .300 win mag living in Canada?
@earlmcmanus1945 жыл бұрын
.30-06 is the most economical choice, aside from it's little brother, .308, and it's plenty powerful.
