Nice review. I had a very disappointing experience with a Bergara B14 30-06 that would not group or feed in spring 2023. Gun shop took it back. I ended up with a Tikka T3X in 270 and later this summer 7 Rem Mag. Both guns shot 1” out of the box. 270 with Hornady American 140gr Whitetail (5 shots at 1.14”, Win 150gr Power Point 1.2” 3 shots). 7 Rem .9” 3 shots 175gr Core Lokt bullets and 1.2” with Win Power Point 175gr bullets. Couldn’t have asked for anything better than this.

Great review, I have that in 7rem mag, and 260 rem, they are boringly good in a good way. Stainless barrels cope really well in the wet, unlike some other brands
@bornwildalaska50312 жыл бұрын
I’ve had the same experience with the barrel. Any small rust spots are easily cleaned off if any do appear, which is rare

Sold my Tikka 3 earlier this year. Looking at buying a T3x Supperlite. Did you have the muzzle threaded? If so, how well does it work for a narrow barrel like these?
@travishimself1973 Жыл бұрын
Nice rifle. I've got a superlite in 7mm mag. Is that just tape over the crown or is it threaded? Surely the barrel is a little too thin to take a thread safely.

Do you have any issues with your spartan bipod adapter coming loose? When I use the sling attachment on that adapter on that Spartan mount, it always comes loose by the time I'm ready to shoot after walking around with the slung rifle. Thanks!

I bought one in .270 Win at Sportsman's Warehouse for $700. I mounted the scope directly to the dovetail using Warne Maxima rings. The plastic trigger guard is a risk to breaking and that was be the first after-market replacement I made.
@bornwildalaska50312 жыл бұрын
It’s a great price aint it! I yet to break it even in some gnarly stuff. Need to replace it.

@@bornwildalaska5031 My Tikka Superliite in .270 Win is a tack driver with hand loads and it only took me one session at the range to dial in the perfect load with 130gr Barnes TTSX and IMR4350.

I have one in 7 mag, there’s a lot of plastic on these guns they are simple the stock isn’t the greatest but not bad, but the accuracy makes up for any of the other above. Under an inch and I’m not a crack shot. Hard to beat the accuracy

How do you find the recoil? I've shot a Tikka T3x in .308. I wonder how much more felt recoil there would be with the .30-06. Does it seem much different than other .30-06s you've tried? Some people say the Tikka recoil seems higher for a given caliber.
