HI you dont need to take the action apart to adjust the trigger pull it can be reached with a ordinary allen key only if you want to change the spring in the trigger unit do you need to take it apart as the head of the spring adjuster hits the take down bolt when its loosened to it max [[ lowest poundage ]] , its designed that way to avoid the screw coming out unintentionally

What are these two small rings on the other side of the bolt for? You can see them on 3rd minute of the video on the left hand side screen. Two small rings set sideway to the rifle.
@stephensynergy Жыл бұрын
The two small rings are a very sturdy Sling Mount that will accept traditional sling mount coupling as well as quick release sling coupling. When I opened the newly arrived Tikka T3X Tactical A1, this Sling Mount is already attached to the rifle exactly as you see. The accessories boxed with the rifle includes another identical Sling Mount and hardware for attaching it to your favorite location on the gun. I hope this clarifies the structure on the Tikka.

I really want to do a part 2. I still have this gun, and it’s still in a very similar configuration, and no not really. I’ve been out of the gun industry for a few years now but still stay connected. I can’t think of a better value. As far as your scope question goes, there are some really good budget options out now that weren’t back then. I’ve been really impressed with Arken in my limited use…so we’ll have to see! Thanks for watching.

One minor issue I had that other owners may want to take note of. The pivot pin for the mag release wasnt fit very tight on my rifle. It fell out during a deer hunt, and by the grace of god I noticed before I lost the little pin, spring, or mag release. It was still loose after reinstall, but a dab of superglue on both sides has mine staying put.

What's required to take the barrel nut housing on/off? I have an extra barreled action lying around. Looking at buying one of these chassis on the used marked, but didn't know if it would require taking the barrel off the action to get the nut on. Thanks.
@amorphousgear20854 жыл бұрын
C I do not know. I would assume a barrel vice and a big ass wrench. Sorry. If you want to get rid of that action let me Know. I don’t think you need to take it off, but I’m not sure...
@user-vu1to8jd3t4 жыл бұрын
@@amorphousgear2085 Did a bit more research. I think I was referring to the forend adapter. Barrel is still shouldered and this isn't a barrel nut system. Apparently it has a small screw that goes into the scope rail, but beyond that the barrel just slips off.

Anyone know if the barrel can be changed by the average shooter? An RPR's barrel can be changed by the owner with a set of headspace guages and basic tools. Barrels are consumable items and will eventually need changing if you want to maintain accuracy.

Yes, I have done just that swap between my CTR and TAC A1. However, the factory CTR action screws are too short for the TAC A1 chassis. You will need longer screws (or the TAC A1 chassis screws).
