Nice video , clear concise and well done. I’d like to see a video showing any recommendations for maintenance/ lubrication of the trigger mechanism itself and bolt / firing pin disassembly.

With the plastic stock and plastic trigger guard, maximum torque on the 2 action screws is 44 inch pounds.

Hello, Igor Here in the USA, we can't order Tikka rifles with a set trigger as people in other countries can. The factory Tikka owners manual gives instructions on how to adjust the Tikka trigger. Your manual may have instructions for the set trigger option. As we do not get that option in America, we have not ever adjusted a Tikka with the set trigger, so I will not guess on how to do it. You could also call the local Tikka/Sako repair facility for more information.

I don’t disassemble the stock to adjust the pull on my Tikka. Just below the trigger there is a notch that you can get a 2.5mm ball end Allen key to fit into the adjusting screw for the trigger. It takes a bit to find the set Allen screw but it’s not that hard. I guess it’s faster to take the stock off but I found this way was just as fast and easy.

This is an old video. I'm glad you found it! That technique works on the plain T3 and T3x models. It doesn't not work on all of the Tikka models though. Most Tikka owners change their trigger guard out for actual metal ones and do this adjustment while the rifle is apart

Yeah I noticed it was an older video. I enjoy watching your videos. Adjusting it was easy finding a 2.5mm ball head Allen key was way more challenging.

Hey! I know it?s old video but still... Before I take my tikka apart: unfortunately i have ordered my gun with set trigger (i wouldn't nowadays). Is it still possible to set pull weight in the same manner? I'm talking about pull weight when using without set trigger? thx a lot!

Out of curiosity - Have you guys experimented with any lighter settings? I ask as a target shooter, looking for a lighter release point - say around 1lb. I realize the trigger hanging bolt is a limiting factor, but if you filed down the face of the set screw, would it render the trigger inoperable?

Those guns can fire just closing the bolt handle sharply if it is set too light,it happened to me ,gun was in safe direction pointed at ground.Tikka t3x stainless.

Because of the internal mechanics of the trigger, that cannot happen unless the trigger housing is out of spec or someone manipulated the adjustment stop to make the trigger too light. Definitely send it back if it came from the factory that way.

@@mountaintacticalcompany I had adjusted it out to the stop and it was very light,I cleaned the threads and put locker on the screw and turned it clockwise to nearly stop.I read instances of this happening.I cannot get it to discharge now on bolt closure but I will never trust this mechanism.

I never would alter the stop,but that trigger is so light when it is backed out a jolt could affect sear,if safety was engaged it would be safe,mine discharged right when I closed the bolt in battery,before I could activate safety.

Hi there can you help me I was looking on the web came across a couple of guys talking about the t3 trigger was very dangerous when put to the lightest sitting so his gun Smith says he was surprised nobody had been killed have you ever had any miss fires or premature shots when the tikka t3 trigger has been adjusted

That's funny! The only way that would happen is with poor trigger discipline. You can bounce test the T3 at 2lbs all day long and it won't go off.

+Tim and Tracy Rushing That's wild! One of our customers is in Alaska on the Bering Strait and he only uses Tikka Stainless rifle rifles because they won't rust in the salt air.

Tim and Tracy Rushing The clue is in the wording, STAIN LESS! It is not totally unstainable. Some stainless steel grades are highly resistant to attack some lower grades with less( mainly ) chrome are more prone. You still need to protect metallic parts with a barrier of gun oil or the like.
