What a small world I literally watched a video of a doctor explaining a few ways to change your eye color in January, but he said contacts are the best cuz it’ll genuinely make you blind if you chose surgery ☠️

SMILE is what left me half-blind :D Basically another ("more safe and with less complications", lol) laser vision correction surgery. In LASIK they cut a flap in your cornea, raise it, then reshape the cornea under the flap and put it back (yes, it never actually heals and you are in forever danger of putting it out of place), in SMILE they cut out a piece of cornea and remove it though a small hole, hence no flap. Feel free to ask more, as a one-eyed survivor I know way too much about all of that now (much more than surgeons will tell you in their sales pitch), although typing that did make me relive my trauma :D

Shoutout to PRK, in which they flat-out remove the whole flap & you need to grow that shit back. Not a fun process & with about 6 months to a year of recovery time before your vision fully clears (also not in the sales pitch), but apparently lower risk of complications later on. I'm sorry to hear that your vision correction went so wrong, as a side note.

I am not a fan of the ice blue choices "Husky dog color eyes" that people like. There is a plethora of high risk reports by ophthalmologists about this procedure.

"Join the Elite 17%" is giving Nazis, tbh. Ew. As a side note, as someone who is apparently "elite," brown eyes are stunning. Dark brown like yours make it look like you have big doe eyes. Lighter brown just look so warm and friendly. It's so sad that people are made to feel insecure about their eye color when their natural eyes look so much deeper & more captivating than the flat & eerie looking surgical options.
