My dad was also a mailman who had a dog on his route that loved him. He would walk his whole route till done. He would drop Lassie at her home on his way back to the post office. One day she wasn’t there and inquired why. The lady said the dog catcher took her. She wasn’t fond of dogs and said it was her mother’s dog and mom had passed. So didn’t want to retrieve her. My dad, my mom and me went to the pound She was in an outside kennel and spotted my dad as we approached. He was not wearing his uniform. But she went crazy trying to climb the fence to get to him. We took her home with us that day. My dog didn’t get along with her so my aunt took her and she lived a happy life for 12 more years. So I understand the bond they have. ❤

It's such a a small thing, a very short video almost every day. Yet you cannot help but smile when you see it. ❤ . That precious love she has for Dan and how he cares for her. It may not be much, but as has already been said it's a bright spot. Good and right and full of kindness. It brings smiles to so many people. Such an unadulterated affection. No one has any notices or agendas. Just pure love. The purest kind, between a dog and a human. Life can be very hard. I'm about to be evicted because of the animals I've rescued and have no place to go. No car. No hope. It could turn out very tragic. And I don't know if I'll survive it or not.
