This is mentioned in Revelation as “Babylonian”. People pick and choose from whatever religion different aspects that resonate with them. It encourages me to choose Christ and everything involved with following Him.

This actually helped me address some problems I've been having lately. Not with other religions being right or anything like that. But more so with recognizing truth and not letting truth be limited or twisted by me trying to visualize this or that. That truth is true regardless of what I do, say, or think. The Bible is truth. The Word of God is Christ. Christ is God. the Father is God. the Holy Spirit is God. and my God, our God, is immaculate.

Faith isn't a pathway to truth because you can believe anything on faith. Why do you think our original gods like Wotan, Donar don't exist then?
@shiruka1372
@shiruka1372 2 жыл бұрын
@@Rico-oz4ct ngl man. I dunno what those are. I dont remember the names of most of the false idols in the bible honestly. If those are in there. Being born again is what revealed truth to me. And that truth is God. It was faith that led me to God despite my previous views on truth. Truth is absolute, but the way to discover absolute truth requires faith in the one who defines it. This world is full of people and things attempting to twist truth into lies. As those are the most convincing ones. It takes faith in a truth revealing God to see what's real. But sometimes it's easy to get caught up in what you yourself are thinking and feeling and fail to recognize what's being actually revealed to you. So, no, faith does lead to truth. It just has to be faith in the true God. The way we know He is true is both faith and because of our actual intimate relationship with our living God.

And best proof - we have the historical evidence to back it up (the resurrection, the NT, the explosion of new practices of the jews in the area, the martyrdom of the believers proving it wasnt a hoax) Feel free to steal this phrase

Couple of problems here, outside the gospels there’s essentially no proof of a resurrection, the best we get is Paul’s vision. The radical change of Jewish practices I wouldn’t count either because it was up for debate If Christians were Jews or not, many gentiles joined the faith, Orthodox Judaism wasn’t shaken much here. Martyrs are proof of nothing but one’s own dedication to a faith. By that logic Islam and Buddhism are equally true due to their modern day Martyrs

saying "all religions are basically the same because of their similarities" is like saying "all modes of transportation is the same" because they tend to be inventions that improve commute, tend to go forward, do not require walking to get you to your destination, they generally require some level of expertise to operate, etc. etc. I could go around all day listing similarities between things but at the end of the day a car is not a plane and Christianity is not Hinduism.

Technically all "religions" are the same. The root word: "religio" in antiquity was understood as an individual virtue of worship in mundane contexts; never as doctrine, practice, or actual source of knowledge. Therefore in religion we trust in our good works to gain eternal life. BUT as Christians there's nothing that we can do to aquire eternal life, it's only by God's mercy and grace that we gain it, not by our works. And that's why true Christianity isn't a religion but a way of life by faith in God and trusting in what Jesus claims to be.
@craig4002
@craig4002 2 жыл бұрын
0:54 This statement was a bit sneaky for me cause it's very subtly deceptive. My immediate response is: yeeeaaahhh, that kinda makes sense...and then I realise that it doesn't. Think about it this way. If God is infinite and there are "infinite" ways to reach Him or "appease" Him, then that makes God's character faulty. Cause it means that I could make my own religion in which I kill people or sacrifice babies and because there are infinite ways to get to God, it's perfectly fine. So God is okay with everything? Both loving your neighbour and murder? Nope, I don't think so. To say that religions, especially Christianity, are all the same or similar is foolish. I think people want to be tolerant and not disagree cause they don't wanna be mean or deal with hurt feelings. But we're just worsening the problem by avoiding it. By definition if we have two explicitly contradictory matters, only one of them can be true: that's how truth works. Christianity opposes all other beliefs because it isn't based on works. And it makes sense because if salvation or reconciliation with God was based on works, there would be an exclusivity and it would mess with the value of a life. For example, if getting into heaven required 1000 good deeds and 1 million dollars donated to a religious group or charity in your lifetime. In this kind of system, not everyone would be able to perform those good deeds or pay that amount of money. Some people are just less fortunate, and this makes the system unfair. By all means, life is unfair, but it falls apart even more. What happens if I murdered someone, but paid say 2 million to charity. Do I go to heaven still? That's the problem with a works-based system for salvation. It opens the possibility of someone murdering and hurting others intentionally, and then just "paying off their debt" with enough money or good deeds. And putting a value on life is not moral since every life is priceless. Everybody falls short in some way. We have all said, thought or done something that we know is wrong and stops us from getting into heaven. Only God was able to live the perfect life, and that was done through Jesus. Christianity is meant to make sense. God lived the perfect life for us, paid the price and died, and rose again. Jesus literally paid the debt because only He could. And to have access to that receipt/invoice and have a relationship with God only requires faith in Jesus Christ and accepting what was done. No money, no good deeds, no exclusivity. Everyone has access to God's grace. And then all the "good deeds" and selfless service is not from a place of fear, a desire for fortune or forced. Instead it is from a place of gratefulness, because the price was already paid. God bless and all the best with the rest..

I have a question, As far as obedience goes, once we are saved, born again if you will, we then become convincted and want to obey out of a new desire in our heart no? But that's not the full story is it not? Should our obedience also not be motivated by the second coming of Christ also? Shouldn't the NT be looked at in its entirety? We don't simply obey souly because of what Jesus did in the past, but should we not also consider what Jesus is going to do in the future and have that be a motivator? Should we not be looking at the whole picture? I'm in no way trying to diminish what Jesus did at all, I have been left weeping in tears because of what he did, but that's not the end of the story... And I don't think anyone can argue that Jesus is not coming soon...we are surely in the last days... Come Jesus! COME! The messiah will return! Jesus is KING.

My take on the 3 points given. 1. Numbers are infinite but numbers have parameters and cannot be expressed in an infinite number of ways, in the same way God has parameters around who he is and how he expresses himself. 2. In the same manner all religions have put forth terrible people who have done awful things in the name of their religion. These aren't reflective of the truth and in the realm of Christianity it doesn't represent Christ. 3. Christianity is very unique in its practices. We pray to have relationship with God, not just to entreat him to act favorablly toward us. We do selfless acts to promote the message of Christ not to gain favor with him. Every action of true Christianity is christ centered not self centered.

Your argument doesn't really work, your god is love, yet is jealous and hateful? Your god is love yet if you don't worship him with no proof of his existence other than a 3400-year-old book then you go to hell, ah yes, makes perfect sense. So YHWH is like a tamed dog that is untamed, right? If we generally refer to gods as animals then all gods would be the same down to the genus, they split at the species. They are all considered supernatural beings and gods in one way or another, whether they are seen as false by one religion or not. YHWH, or the Christian and Jewish god, is also the Canaanite god of metallurgy, or at least goes by the same name. Diana and Apollo are brother and sister gods but they are gods of different things. 0:42 I think he means in a utilitarian way, all religions function. Based on this idea that there's no actual God, but that religion is a way in which we personify morality. But even that isnt true, as not all religions have utilitarian outcomes, a lot of religions in fact, do not end up creating happiness for everyone. Whats more, is that God is real, and therefore isnt some kind of metaphore, its truth. And there can only be one reality. 1:32 that just logically doesnt work, as most people also see their god as someone who doesnt contradict themselves ever, and is perfect. If we where to say all religions are just different expressions of the same god, that god contradicted itself. 3:12 I can only think of one who rose from the dead just sayin.

I mean, yeah on its own saying "those religions are wrong ours is right" isnt convincing on its own, but its not like we have no evidence whatsoever. As soon as you stop dismissing facts as being the work of conspiracists trying to trick you and you will realize there just happen to be an infinite amount of facts that just don't agree with your religion. They don't agree with any other religion either, or you would never hear the end of it. Thanks for giving me the laugh. If you truly believe historians are keeping the truth hidden you can expose them by revealing the facts. It just isn't going to happen, is it? The lack of corroborating stories in the historical record with the bible should tell you something and it isn't that the bible is right and history is wrong.

Most pagans believe and worship one pantheon, for example, I worship Roman deities, but that doesn't mean I believe in deities from the Hindu pantheon or the Egyptian pantheon. I would recommend doing research on the religion you're speaking about instead of leaving a comment that further spreads misinformation. Hi Daily Disciple! I love watching your videos because you're good at giving explanations. I'd love it if you'd talk about eternity in hell. Its something I've been wondering about after my dad mentioned it not too long ago. And the question is Why are human souls deserving of eternity in hell when our life expectancy here on earth is 100-120 years? How can sins committed on Earth be punishable by eternity in hell? Isn't this a little too harsh? Never again seeing your family again for eternity? Does the Bible talk about this? I'd love it if I heard your opinion/thoughts on this.

We aren't supposed to ever tell one another what God plans to do with someone after they leave(people do need to know we are eternal and never die except this flesh). You also should understand the spiritual realm where God is. There isn't any time there...Past , Present and Future are all at the same time there simultaneously (time is an illusion). When someone dies here 1 or 2 minutes they leave their body upon returning they say when they come back to their body it felt like an eternity on the otherside. God is the only one that can make that determination...having a relationship with God is all anyone needs to worry about. I do also want to add every person has a chance for Redemption and every person has the same equal opportunity for Heaven. Our Relationship with the Almighty though while we are here is extremely important.

@@natashasproles4608 Hi Natasha! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I agree that people should be mainly concerned about building a relationship with our creator, God. Honestly, it's the only thing that should matter and that should be our goal rather than trying to avoid going to hell. But I also think that we have the right to know where we will go if we choose not to believe. As far as your response, I'm still somewhat confused and I can't tell if my question was answered or not. I understand the part where you said that time is not a thing where God exists but that still doesn't answer the question as to how a crime committed against God on Earth (where there is time) can be punishable with eternity in hell (where there is no time). Also, what did you mean by "we aren't supposed to tell one another what God plans to do with someone after they leave"? I may be wrong but do you mean that its up to God to judge each one of us in accordance to our sins? If so, I completely agree with that. God will have the ultimate word, not us. By the way, I am not trying to start a debate or argument on this I'm just genuinely curious and because it's something that I cant put together. I am a Christian, believe 100% in Jesus Christ but every now and then I have my questions and would like to hear what others have to say. Thank you for your input.

@@rachelt7140 I am going to piece by piece answer this... It's not about going to the bad place(our choices beget consequences). (people who hate/evil bad intended and who never Repent in the flesh, also the ones who hold unforgiveness take heed) purification has to occur during this lifetime for each Soul ( in order to return Home to their already established home)...it is about having a relationship established with your Father(finding him again while you are in this ugly 3D world) you are never alone from the moment you are born...you have an earthly Father who brought you into the world but you have a creator who specially designed you(none of us are the same and we are also not on the same level or same levels of understanding) and loves you more than anything. Your Soul which is inside of you longs to be back home with him (when they say in the Bible he knew us before we were formed in the womb) this is true , your soul has known the Father IAM since the beginning of time began. You don't remember any of this because it is part of being here (finding your way back to him with your hearts compass) I am going to edit this comment as I read it.... Okay , there isn't just Hell....lol there is also people who have bad Karma in their account (Karma must remain balanced but you also want more positive than negative) or are not here living their lives purpose....this in turn can lead to reincarnation and when you reincarnate back here you will be the polar opposite of what you were the time before (its complicated, for example if you were rich and powerful in one incarnation the next incarnation you would be poor and struggling because of your bad Karma and life lesson you have to learn) but it isn't just hell lol people also get put into the Cosmos(other planets lower than 3D or Higher even what we call a star like a time out) and are left there until they reincarnate again to "try" again. You have a whole life planned out that your Higher Self wanted to complete (fully) and it may not be done with 1 lifetime...there is also a difference between Heaven (Kingdom) and (Paradise) we are all not Kingdom bound even though it is all God's either way. There are also many levels of Heaven (your Faith and your works here in this lifetime determine where you will go when you leave this incarnation) It is up to each person as an individual what happens when this life ends...but we don't die either way we just move on. We are light ✨️ that is all we are ...a piece of the Father having an Earth existence. There is more to but to explain everything I know would take a lot of time. Just Love...that's it and listen to your heart because it is trying to steer you throughout this life. Each Soul is responsible for their self and their self alone. A lot of what I say won't be known because it is part of the growing of each Soul. Along your journey here you learn about the otherside but only if you allow God to reveal truths to you and open your mind. Closed minded people will never be shown truth ...only God knows you and he doesn't want the person the world made you into only your true genuine authentic self with a repented heart.

@@natashasproles4608 Thank you for taking the time to carefully explain your point of view. Like you said, we are here to fulfill God's purpose and along the way we must learn to obey and love our Father but I don't believe that we have multiple lifetimes. I believe that everyone is born once and everyone dies once and that's it. Once you die, there's only two places you can go, hell or heaven. I also believe that everyone has the opportunity of knowing the truth and the ability to seek it, but not everyone is willing to accept it (the truth is in the Bible). I was looking for a more biblical response/approach to my question but nonetheless, thank you for explaining to me how Karma and reincarnation works. :)

The Bible indicates that all three Persons of the Trinity were involved in Jesus’ resurrection. Galatians 1:1 says that the Father raised Jesus from the dead. First Peter 3:18 says that the Spirit raised Jesus from the dead (see also Romans 1:4, and note that Romans 8:11 clearly says that God will resurrect believers “through His Spirit”). And in John 2:19 Jesus predicts that He will raise Himself from the dead (see also John 10:18). So, when we answer the question of who resurrected Jesus, we can say God did. And by that we can mean it was the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

In Islam, we don't follow the holy trinity. We believe that God is the one at the top, and nothing challenges His will. The reason we only believe in 1 God is because we believe God is infinite. Scientifically speaking, there can only be 1 Infinite, because Infinity is limitless. If you had 2 or 3 Infinites, they would only be as strong as each other, thus there would be a limit to that and that wouldn't make them truly infinite, that would just make them finite.

People can sincerely believe something is true that simply isn’t the truth. So they are not intentionally lying, even though what they believe and teach is not true. The truth is that the only way to God (to eternal life with him rather than separation from him) is to believe in his Son, Jesus Christ, and that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead. First mention of Trinity with this word is from the early 3rd century (by Tertullian), but there were tries to articulate it in the mid 2nd century (e.g. Justin the Martyr), which means the idea of Trinity comes at least from the late 1st century. At that time, Christians were themselves persecuted, and there is no records at that time that Christians would've burn witches. If you choose to follow familiar spirits of nature, that's wholly up to you - no one can make decision for you, and love does not force anyone. (Instead, I'm a former witch and now I'm a follower of the Messiah.) But I'd recommend you to do your research more carefully in the future when it is possible. May God have mercy upon you.

Well Islam practices that we should attack others in the name of Mohammad and the prophet if they're insulted or people don't believe in them Christianity teaches do to others as you'd like done unto yourself because they are as valuable as you in the eyes of God We should all turn to Christ

Christianity teaches that slavery is okay and that everyone who isn't a christian goes to hell and especially people who are against the church's political power. Christians teach that they are supreme and are the only ones worthy of eternal salvation despite being normal people who aren't special in the slightest.

While every religion can lead to a happier and fulfilling life, only through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice can we be saved and receive eternal life, for me, this is true happiness and rewarding.

Is that true? All other religions demand works-righteousness in some form. None of them give grace or solid reassurance that you’re headed to a good afterlife or future existence.

@@Window4503 But without the Salvation that only is available through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, true happiness will never be achieved after this life and there is no reward without the atonement of Jesus Christ.

I know you care about these people and their Salvation but you are just going to have to let them find the Lord on their own...people go through all kinds of growth during their lifetime journey and eventually they will need Jesus...there are a lot people don't understand or aren't taught by modern day preacher's but don't complicate the experience of God...it is simple You also need to understand each human on this planet was made and designed by God (good and bad) he already knows them ...he knows that some may take different paths to reach him and that is part of their growth (Spirit and Soul Evolution) one day each one of us will be in his presence alive or not alive.

So what are you saying here, that he should just shut up and not speak truth because "he needs to let people find the Lord on their own"?
