Randy - keep the vlogs on this channel. BUT! To Maximize the earnings value you could get from your vlog footage, you should have someone edit together maybe a monthly or biweekly "super cut" of some sort of some of the most interesting stuff. That way you could string together some 10-15 min. long main channel vids with sort of a storyline for the more casual viewer. A fun idea could be to make a main channel vid out of most of the golfing stuff you have done this year and have the storyline evolve around you getting ready for the golfing season to start propper in the UK - or the launch of the new troops golf channel. Just do a bit of extra filming and voice over and you would have a banger of a main channel vid made up of mostly prefilmed footage.

To be honest, I think the Randy channel should be dedicated to the vlogs and more personal content and the main channel can be more youtube-y style videos so that the audiences and styles stay separate. Regarding the content on the vlogs, I think as long as you have a section in the vlogs where you satisfy the title of the video, it works well. Absolutely loving the content tho!

Probably could do with chill vlogs on the weekends and combine both days into 1 vid so you're not as pressured to film on the weekends and also give yourself a bit of time to relax or just do 1 rest day for a week if you're wanting to upload daily and not stress yourself out. You could also do what you were thinking and just film on weekdays and use weekends to rest up and plan ahead. It really depends on what you're feeling since you talk about being burnt out as it's important to feel like you're in a good headspace to do what you want.

if the vlogs are a source of money, and you like to do them to keep occupied id take the pressure off yourself by stop trying to Make them into something and just keep it as a habbit and start planning better more thought out vlogs and when youre ready to take it up a level once other things are sorted i say thats when the switch to doing it on your main will come in. so my Mr nobody advice would be keep the vlogs up on here for your daily stuff and take the pressure of yourself for them to do good while focusing on sorting your other business until theres less on your plate or can step back with AP, then you can rethink the effort levels and what you are vlogging to put on the main channel? that way you have time and energy for the other stuff while not putting so much in this coz its more like a tune up run to figure out the kinks in your style before going main channel with it. stay blessed and remeber to show gratitude, it helps reframe your perspective sometimes

I'd love to still see daily vlogs but I completely do get your point as to helping grow the channel, maybe the less crazy days like the weekeds you spend with Harper could be made into only one vlog for the weekend instead of two different days, and like that throughtout the week too, if you feel that nothing crazy happened on wednesday just include the footage from wednesday into your thursday vlog so that way we are not missing out on content and you are helping the channel grow through the more views on a better thumbnail title just uploading it the next day with both the days combined

I would not put the vlogs on the main, rather keep them separate and use the main channel to try out different "viral" concepts :) I really enjoy the vlogs and Id suggest that you talk to Simon regarding titles/thumbnails, his MM7 videos are very clickable. And I think either having the weekend in one or splitting some busier days would definitely make sense, it does not need to cover a whole day :)

I think you could do a sort of hybrid where you turn some of the vlogs with more content into main channel videos while still keeping the vlog format. For example, the 'smallest country in the world' vlog in the Vatican and the 'trying every American fast food' videos have enough content to be a main channel video even though it's still a vlog. So then you could maybe skip some days on the Randy channel and trade it for like a weekly higher content main channel vlog. That's my idea, hope you read this 😀

My take on moving the vlogs to the main channel: I think majority of your current viewers on this channel would watch them regardless & bringing more eyes to the vlog would be great too but that just opens a room for more criticism & judgement that could get to you (or anyone) on the bad days. My opinion would be to continue daily (except for weekends, if you wish to take a break since driving from Lon to Notts probably is tiring) on this channel & have Cal edit bits & pieces from the weeks' vlogs & make them "fast-paced/KZbin meta" style 8-10 min vlogs capturing highlights from the entire week, that way you can get more people to watch the vlogs, easier to get title/thumbnail, & maybe even convert main channel viewers into viewers of this channel

And in terms of the new viewers things i heard that some youtubers would upload a main channel style video on their second channel because its a bit different to the usual content on the second channel and that way it woould attract new people and then do more regular second channel type videos and that way the new viewrs get attracted to the channel and then introduced to the regulart content of the channel and they decide if they want to stay or not

Could be a good idea to only do weekdays as it give you a chance to spend more personal time with harper and is a bit of a reset for the next week and might make for a bit better planned vlogs for the rest of the week. It’s good to take some breaks, normal 9-5 people get a weekend to them selves, why can’t you? Just as long as it doesn’t kill your momentum of the vlogs as it is becoming a bit of a healthy routine for you now. But yeah up to you at the end of the day 👌

Randy you don’t want sugar coated comments so honestly it seems you are balancing a lot and because you have committed to a daily vlog you have not much time to rest and rejuvenate off camera and this is incredibly exhausting thing to wake up for every day on top of Ace, Pokemon, What’s Good, family and friends etc, I think you are on a trajectory for burn out if you don’t get a better understanding of your relationship with the vlogs. You are very self critical in feeling like you aren’t on top of the vlogs, but what do you even consider a successful vlog? If it’s views then that’s okay - but it seems like you are constantly trying to convince yourself views don’t matter when it absolutely has an effect on your mental health. I completely understand the bigger financial picture too, it must be super stressful. On another note I think your thought process is very relatable but also seems it’s something you can struggle with and you don’t possess the confidence you deserve to feel. You are juggling so much, of course you are going to feel stressed and overthink! Potentially talking to a someone about getting on top of your overthinking could be really beneficial for your confidence and general well being. Josh also seems like a great friend for that. You are such a capable person and you gotta believe in yourself as much as us viewers that turn up every day on the Randy channel are. You deserve to feel good and be sure of the decisions you are making! ALSO definitely do what someone else commented about cutting the best bits for a bi-weekly / monthly for the main channel, great way to monetise and also a highlight reel for casual or new viewers.

Not sure if Randy will see this, but I think you should just keep doing the vlogs to keep yourself accountable and kind of motivated on a daily basis, and for the Title and Thumbnail just think about what you did or learned on that day and use that for the Title and thumbnail, that way you don't have to think about it to much during the day and it will help with the self growth and all that without feeling too forced
