@@alopez9907 yes, 40 was a bit scary, but I was more scared when I saw no sectioning around her hairline and applying it with a finger. I was expecting a splotchy mess and really hot roots.

I’m a hairdresser and in the beginning I was like “girl no! Don’t go towards the light” but in the end you pulled through. That is actually what I do for most of my highlight clients. It’s called a root smudge, and you pulled it off beautifully! Well done 👍

lol joke's on quarantine because I do home touch ups on my hair literally ALLL the time. You're lucky it ended up being salvageable! Honestly though, you probably didn't even need to dye twice, a good toner would have taken that super blonde and dulled it to blend. Looks good though!

@@elizabethepp9507 redken shades EQ are the BEST toners. For the best blonde I actually mix a few! I mix 1/2 oz, 09(opal glow) with 1/2 oz 09V (platinum) and 1oz clear.

it's an honest one, but Elanna's main mistake was doing her roots at the same time as the rest. Bleach 101-- always do mid-shaft to ends FIRST, and make sure you REALLY put enough on --- wait for processing (approx 10 min or more pending color/how dark hair is) and wait for the last ~10 minutes and do the roots. Allllll the difference in the world so you don't end up with those super hot-white roots and yellow mid shafts. The more you know :)

@@carberriess Normally that's true, but you're wrong in this scenario since she already had quite light ends and mid-shafts. She should have bleached the virgin hair on the top first since that would have needed longer to process than her already lightened hair. The more you know :)

The very end after the color was put back on it looks really good actually! The color toned it down and it has more of a beige cool tone to it but I really think the brighter blonde suits you really well! 👌🏼
