For the record boys? 17 is actually the standard mag size for a stereotypical full-size 9mm glock in most the world. Other handguns in the same caliber tend toward 14-16, when they aren't matching or exceeding that 17 rounds. Technically you can add one to all those numbers, by assuming people carry with one in the chamber. Yeehaw!

It reminds me of a discussion about naming the pistols. Glock 17 cuz it holds 17 bullets in a magazine. Then there's like Glock 19 and 45 which both don't have nothin' to do with their numbers. Just a style choice. And as a person who has no idea about guns, I think it's just the number of a model in the series.

17 would be from a double stack magazine, typically holding 12-20 rounds. Single stack mags tend to hold 10 or less bullets.

I could be wrong but, I believe the "Let's go!" thing started in the early PUBG days.
