As a parent of an almost 13 year old, how you respond to your kids depends on the roast really. so true. But even then they were really expensive. In 1986 about a quarter of Americans had a microwave in their home. It really wasn’t weird to not have one until around the mid-90s. And even then a lot of people who couldn’t afford one didn’t have one and a lot of older people didn’t have one because they didn’t like them. Pulling cards are for when they're bad in class, not for when a kid accidentally hurts your freaking feelings. He's 7 and learned to talk way late, I wanted to say something but I was afraid she'd take it out on him the rest of the year so the last day I'm gonna be like "wow your stomach is huge!!!" As a 5ft nuthin redhead myself, with 4 grown children, I must say, when they roasted me as kids (ie. babies to 10) I'd sometimes roast them back. Once they got into double digits, NAH! They got it back 10-fold and they turned out to be very sarcastic, witty, funny, yet somehow still respectful members of society. So I say, go for it! Roast those heathens back! It makes life a lot more interesting! 🤣🤣🤣

As a parent, it is 100% YOUR job to teach your child how to behave. So you 100% address it with them when they are unkind.
@axelfoley60810 ай бұрын
Just to be clear. You are talking about something slightly different correct. If a kid is rude they should be corrected However, if they tell the truth and roast someone when prompted then you understand that is a different situation right?
@libbydavis255410 ай бұрын
@@axelfoley608 The problem is not my lack of understanding. It is any parent who would prompt their child to roast another human being.
@axelfoley60810 ай бұрын
I may have missed one on here, but I don’t recall any parent promoting their kid to roast someone. Kids typically are 100% honest and when they “roast” us it is usually something that is very true. I would say the ones in the wrong are the adults trying to curb a child’s creativity like the teacher telling a kid not to make funny faces whilst playing. That is when a kid is most free and creative and you insert yourself to tell them they are being creative wrong. Other than that adults are worse when they lie to make people feel good instead of telling the truth. After all there is no such thing is brutal honesty. The truth can never be soft nor brutal, the truth can only be truth. However, lies however can be brutal and destructive. So while I agree that if a child is in the wrong we should correct them, if they are telling something that is to be true, are they in the wrong? I think that is where we might be disagreeing.
