Complimenting people, especially guys, is rare and so valuable. I am MFW so I love complimenting women but because I wish women complimented me I do the only thing I can which is to compliment other guys. I love complimenting people. I really do wish more than just my Mom and Dad complimented me (I'm not a young guy). Everyone needs compliments but I sus that a lot of guys go eons without any compliments from women. Actually I used to get a lot of compliments from older women. I bet women want to compliment more but they've learned the wrong lesson that if they compliment a guy it will be misinterpreted - yeah maybe but you can deflect that - give compliments every chance, like 10 compliments in one day isn't too many! I once went on a double date with one of my friends in high school, and as far as awkwardness on double dates go, this was a maximum. We were going to a nice steakhouse that I fully intended to pay for on my own since I worked there as sous chef. My friend was being a little handsy and it finally got past the line when the food was delivered. Pretty sure the "I'll by the door" one is referring to COD zombies because in order to progress you have to use the in-game money to open doors to different areas and they're expensive so someone has to use a ton of their money which can also be used for guns and ammo and such so they're sacrificing to get the door open

So the “buying the door” one is a reference to Call of Duty’s Zombies mode. In it, you start out in a room with a bunch of windows and locked doors. Each player gets points for damaging/killing zombies, and those points can be exchanged to open doors and enable the team to move throughout the map. Fuck I miss Kino and Ascension.
