Growing up my mom was the primary breadwinner and my dad managed the childcare, cooking and cleaning. it worked well b/c they were suited for each role, and we were all happier for it. Having a stable & nurturing parent at home makes a big difference for kids, whether it’s a mom or dad. I respect tradwives even if it isn’t for all women, and I respect men who care for their homes and kids even if they aren’t ‘traditional’

I was a trad wife who trusted my husband implicitly until I found out he had multiple affairs, ultimately leaving me & our 4 children with nothing. I had to start from scratch as a single mom of 4. I found a job, went to college and am now a nurse. While I no longer believe women should make themselves this vulnerable, I also acknowledge that she's an adult capable of making her own decisions. If this works for her, I think that's amazing, and she shouldn't care what anyone else thinks.

I am also sorry this happened to you. It is a terrible thing to be betrayed by one’s partner in life. The deal is, for most of the time humans have been pairing up in the traditional manner, husbands have been dying on the job, of sickness, and the stupid wars started by Banksters, and they’ve died while having young children and inadequate life insurance. Some have even come home requiring constant care and unable to earn an income. Would you avoid being a traditional wife because of these eventualities? I don’t think the solution to your situation is abandoning the best possible arrangement for the crappy modern solution. If society will not provide the incentives for people to honor their family commitments the way it used to, including supposed churches and clergy, post nuptial agreements could help. If a man files for divorce for any reason besides infidelity or abandonment, on her part, a wife gets 20% of his salary and 50% of his other income on top of child support until she remarries. A woman foregoing her career to provide a superior environment for a man’s family is good and valuable consideration, it is estimated to be worth at least $150,000 a year. This should be the default, but since it isn’t, you can fix it with a contract. Michael Douglas‘s contract pays Catherine $1 million every time he cheats. In a business arrangement, there is no way written dissolution provisions would leave all the income producing assets to one partner, and all the liabilities to the other, nothing wrong with a marriage agreement doing the same.

Do you have advice for a traditional woman who wants to be a trad wife to find a good man 🧍‍♀️
@cagtbd
@cagtbd Жыл бұрын
@@MBJK_baby as long as you have good communication, every problem can be solved. For example: You don't have money? Do you have a plan, may I give advise or is there other way I can help you? Many times issues come from not wanting to disclose a bad situation, why couples do that? Because they're taught to tough it up. I as a man have been taught to only disclose when I don't have a way to solve the situation because that way my partner can focus on whatever she does for our better life. Women are usually taught to not disclose problems because she'll be seen as a nuisance but it's the opposite, if you don't tell me, don't expect me to magically have knowledge of the situation or a solution in my pocket. This in fact creates so many issues in the long run because of bad communication or miscommunication. For example, the neighbor is trying to fort with you? If you don't tell me right away and I'm someone with low self-esteem I will do stupid things to both you and the relationship and if I have a high self-esteem then either I believe you when you're in the fire or I just divorce you because I can't trust you to avoid problems. On the other hand, both low and high self-esteem will know right away what's going on if you speak up from the very beginning because you overcame embarrassment or the fear of being thought crazy and will support you or even devise a way to face this situation. All other things like doing housework are secondary to communication. But again they are appreciated because the spouse doesn't need to think about what else is needed to be done when arriving at home and can focus on resting while having a good partner who supports the relationship and home too. I really just want a wife who will have a great communication skill, ie. can talk about what's needed even if it's embarrassing or an assumption because there's trust. She's there not to serve me because she's my wife but because she wants to share her time with me doing whatever she thinks will make me happy or help our home or relationship when all I need from her is a welcome kiss and a hug.

@@AG-nn8lp yep, this is an issue everywhere. The real marriage nowadays should be: One stays at home and takes care of the house while the other goes to work. Both work and both have to share responsibilities at home. But most of the time it's immature people who can't accept the new society and think the house should be only one person's responsibility even though both work. Or both avoid facing reality until they can't survive anymore and start attacking each other.

30 years ago I was friends with a couple where the wife was "traditional" and they were always laughing and joking together even though they had been together over 20 years and had four kids. One day I asked them what their secret to getting along was and the husband said "I let her think she's the boss, but I'm really the boss" to which the wife laughed and replied a little bit louder "I let him think HE'S the boss, but I'M really the boss!", as he made a face, and then they both started laughing. I think that's the key to a happy marriage. God blessed you Gilbert and Norma.

@@cryptoffilth8711 No, that’s not God’s natural order. The Bible says in Corinthians, wives submit to your husband in all things and husbands love your wives. They both have their roles and responsibilities however the man ( husband/father) is the head of the family and not the woman. Any man who says his wife is the glue that holds his family together is not a leader and not a Christian. Women are attracted to strong, assertive men who are in control, especially within a family; not weak men who worship at her feet and tell her constantly she’s a princess and the rock of the family. Most women will soon resent this type of man and will see it as weakness, unattractive weakness and many times leave him in the end.

Exactly. You can be a mom and work, but then you're going to have to let go of things in the mom (or parent) category and pay someone else to do them. Let's be real, a working mom does not have time to do much on weekdays besides drive her kid around after work, buy processed food rather than make healthy foods from scratch/produce, is going to do Target pickup rather than shop around for deals, and is going to pay someone else to watch her kid most of the day (including schools via taxes)... Plus her kids are less likely to get the full night's sleep bc otherwise she'll only see them for MAYBE the 2 hours she is busy w/ chores. At the end of the day, most of my income as a working mom went to all of those things (plus gas, a second car, and work clothes). So can't say I was better off financially and my children def weren't better off. All the child rights talk these days, but none of it about a child's right to be raised by their parents in a stable relationship.

Modern feminist hate this because it exposes their unfulfilled lives clinging to a philosophy that is destructive to women. It’s hilarious that feminists react to this delightful tradwife by trying desperately to convince themselves and others how horribly bad it is to be a traditional woman…Yeah ummm obviously 😂 Yet they respond to tear down and not build up… its the same as all other deceptive ideologies… a philosophy that is just words on paper that do not bring joy and fulfillment but emptiness…

I’m the primary breadwinner in my marriage and that works fine for me and my husband. So long as women have choices and agency in living the kind of life they want to lead, I could care less if some women choose this lifestyle. It’s not one way is right or wrong, it’s doing what works for your marriage.

A trad wife IS A PROVERBS 31 WOMEN. Keep God first and God defines roles of HIS JOY! Jesus Others You A worthy woman who can find? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband trusteth in her, And he shall have no lack of gain. She seeketh wool and flax, And worketh willingly with her hands. She is like the merchant-ships; She bringeth her bread from afar. She riseth also while it is yet night, And giveth food to her household, And their task to her maidens. She considereth a field, and buyeth it; With the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. She girdeth her loins with strength, And maketh strong her arms. She perceiveth that her merchandise is profitable; Her lamp goeth not out by night. She layeth her hands to the distaff, And her hands hold the spindle. She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; Yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household; For all her household are clothed with scarlet. She maketh for herself carpets of tapestry; Her clothing is fine linen and purple. Her husband is known in the gates, When he sitteth among the elders of the land. She maketh linen garments and selleth them, And delivereth girdles unto the merchant. Strength and dignity are her clothing; And she laugheth at the time to come. She openeth her mouth with wisdom; And the law of kindness is on her tongue. She looketh well to the ways of her household, And eateth not the bread of idleness. Her children rise up, and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praiseth her, saying: Proverbs 31:10‭-‬11‭, ‬13‭-‬28

My Mom was a tradwife. Def handled a lot more than just housework and raising kids let me tell you. When my Dad was out of work and got unemployed; she went to work part time and still was home in time before we got home from school and still cooked a full meal, cleaned, etc. And to this day; I thank her for teaching me cooking/cleaning skills. Seriously one of the strongest women I've ever known. She even cared for my Great Aunt 3x removed that had Alzheimer's, at the time our family took her in on top of everything else. And somehow society; specifically even moreso the modern day feminist movement looks down on that as weakness/servitude? It baffles me to no end. My Mom was is a boss lady and could seriously do everything these so called modern day women could do and still hold her powerful femininity while doing it. Now tell me a lady/woman that does all that on top of raising kids, making sure we were fed as kids AND helping their spouse out with other tasks is a slave; you're seriously misinformed. My Mom's more boss than if she would've had a high paying 6 figure job; in my opinion.

Yes, we should definatly encourage all women to be tradwives. This is a great idea. Your husband has a 100% chance of dying eventually, possibly dying young in a tragic accident. And you have a 50%chance of divorce. If one of these 2 things happen you now have no real work history, no job, most likely a high school education and a ton of kids to feed. There is spousal and child support but it's not usually enough. I think if you have really young kids it's fine because they need 24/7 attention, but I don't think this is a good position to put yourself in permanently. I also was put off by her husband telling how to dress at home. You marry a partner not a barbie. People should love you for you, not what you look like

Then account for your body count. Your left with maybe one in a million for you personally. And even then most traditional, good looking, financially secure men have the means to get a passport and go across seas for even more options.. and that's just what we are doing lately. I’m happy for her that she’s able to do that and that works for their family. Feminism was all about giving women opportunities to work and so everyone has the freedom to do that but they don’t have to be forced to. If someone wants to be more traditional that’s okay, we have the freedom to choose what to do with our free will instead of being forced to do something 😊

I’m a traditional wife, & have four kids. I watched one interview saying she’s only been married for a few months and had no kids yet. Being a traditional wife is glamorous when you can only focus on yourself, your house, and your husband. Being a traditional wife myself looks a lot different I must say 😂 If I tried to do my hair and makeup first thing in the morning, while baking cookies and dressing like I’m from a different era of time… My kids may burn the house down.

I think it's hilarious that people got so mad about her, like her mere existance is gonna strip women of their rights. She can do whatever she wants to like any woman, and what she wants is to take care of a home. If that's what she wants to do, and that's what she's happy doing, what's the problem? Wanting to take care of you and your man's home is a perfectly noble cause.

Ya must be nice to have enough money to do so. Y’all act like working women are bad when they do it out of necessity . This life we live in cannot be supported on ONE income anymore . Especially life like hers with pretty hair and makeup and dresses . She is lucky , glad for her and would wish that on myself tbh but for most women it is not even a option if they wanted too. And like good wives we stand by our man even if he don’t make enough bank to make us a “tradwife” so we chug along to work just like everyone else

But her life is not very hard, its super easy if you have no kids. Most women will never dream of having time to fuss that much with hair and makeup and outfits and bubble baths and 5 hours of cooking. She is an extremely fortunate person. It's kind of like holding up a picture of Megan and Harry at a hot sweaty wearhouse and being like "This is what strong work ethic looks like." Like girl,...exsqueeze me???
