The live mouse “pranks” make me sick. That poor mouse didn’t deserve that. I had a pet mouse and he was the biggest gentleman. He lived a year and got the grey old man hairs and all. Sadly I had to put him down after he developed a cancerous tumor in his bladder. He was so painful it broke my heart

The video with the rat biting that ball python PISSED ME OFF so bad. I have a 4ft boa constrictor, his name is Joker, which I got roughly two years ago. He's the biggest sweetheart but his entire back end and his tail is COVERED in giant scars, the back of his body is extremely lumpy because he has so much muscle and tissue missing from when the previous owner left a live rat in his cage and that rat CHEWED RIGHT DOWN TO HIS SPINE. At least that owner went to the vet with him and he payed a hefty 5k on the surgery.. Joker's living with me now and he's my little/big angel. I will never allow anything like this happening to him (or any of my other snakes) EVER again

Also, snakes are not that difficult to take care of if you have done your research. You can pretty much make a hands off set up for a ball python so you only need to feed it every other week and change the water every other day, if the snake doesn't decide to poo in the water bowl. Not that I would recommend doing that, but it is possible if you want an animal you can mostly just look at. 1. Get a timer & dimming thermostat for a heat lamp to regulate temps (check weekly that it works as intended) 2. With Ball pythons they like slightly more humid, so if you want to minimize the amount of care, get an automatic misting system, program it accordingly, and clean it 3. Go bioactive with the terrarium (snake safe live plants and clean up crew of isopods and springtails). You only have to remove large poops 4. Get a BIG terrarium (anything larger than 4'x2'x2' at MINIMUM) and decorate it well so that there's a lot of clutter, hides and various microclimates the snake can enjoy. There you have it. I wouldn't recommend ignoring your snake, they're really funny friends and most are very curious so you can let them come out of the terrarium for supervised "play time" after snake proofing the room and making sure no other pets are able to access the snake because they're very squishy.

Of course the mistreatment of the rabbits is horrendous, but considering it's the same type of video format (egg laying/birthing) for every video on their account is...utterly repulsive and certainly feels as though it's a fetish thing. I looked the fish one up, he tried to say he brought a dead fish and cut the video and used the dead fish to pretend it died. He gave a receipt for the dead fish. BUT someone proved him wrong and called the store he claimed to buy it from and they said they’d never sell a dead goldfish etc, so basically what we think happened was that he killed his fish, and then brought another one to replace the one that died for the tiktok, which is where the receipt is from.

I hate how people mistreat smaller animals like bunny’s, rabbits, rats, mice, hamsters, young birds, and much more. It disgusts me and makes me cry. I love animals and want to be a Veterinarian when I’m old enough. I’ve owned many animals, including 6 hamsters. I SOOOO very wish I didn’t have the two hamsters I had a couple years ago. I had them in a VERYY small cage and kept them in the same cage. Only one of them survived after that. I would drop the one that survived and basically abused it. THIS is why you shouldn’t give young kids under the age of 10 hamsters. I so wish I didn’t have that hamster. She only survived a year. I wish I could go back in time and buy her a bigger cage, clean her cage often, stop dropping them, and maybe that poor hamster could’ve survived longer. I so very wish that the hamsters I had got a better home. Yes, I did have some good memory’s before the abusing started, and am glad she’s in a better place now. I wish I knew about how I was treating her and knew that it was animal abuse. I learned after my mistake and had two hamsters after that and the one I got the year I turned 10, it was healthy and had a huge cage, I would clean her cage regularly, refill her food and water, and made sure I didn’t get her a small wheel. She survived for longer than she was supposed to. I just got a hamster again a month ago and his names Pig. He’s happy and healthy and I have learned from my poor mistakes. Thank you to whoever read this all the way through, and I deeply apologize to my two hamsters I sadly abused by accident, Snowflake and Diamond ❤🕊

Because for example eating a cow is perfectly fine, as long as you gave that cow the best life you could before hand, and made it quick and painless so it doesn’t suffer. From my personal Christian veiw, as god intended. (That’s fine if you share a different belief, I’m just sharing my personal outlook on it) but then you have horrible systems like keeping thousands or even millions of cows in a cramped, horrible environment. My great grandma and her husband had a Chihuahua. She hated ANYONE but him, and would try to attack everyone who came near her. Actually it's pretty up for debate on whether or not you should feed them in their enclosure. For example Snake Discovery feeds their snakes in their enclosures and they're professionals. It's their job.

That may just be a feeding tank, if you feed live (i have in the past, and used a separate feed tank) you usually use a spare tank to feed; additionally it can be used to house an uneaten mouse or rat until the next attempt to feed. When I was thirteen, I used to have a pet chameleon named Estellise. We had her for nearly six months and everything was going well. She was perfectly healthy and we kept her in a nice secluded room where she wouldn't get stressed. My dad didn't want Estellise anymore so he gave her to one of my cousins who had really been wanting a lizard (the cousin was nine when this happened and his sister was eleven) I knew these cousins were really irresponsible but my dad got mad at me when I told him that I didn't want to give her away. When they got their hands on her they did not do any research or care about her at all. The first thing they did was try to "introduce" her to their dogs. They placed her in my cousin's room, which was the noisiest and most active room in the whole house where both of the kids hung out. They let her roam free out of her cage on the floor WHERE SOMEBODY COULD STEP ON HER OR THE DOGS COULD GET TO HER. They also said they thought it was "cool" when she changed color out of stress. she died within two weeks. I'm surprised it wasn't faster. I was so horribly heartbroken that my precious chameleon had died. I cried so hard. I'm almost sixteen now, and I still haven't fully forgiven them to this day. They killed the chameleon that I had grown to love over six months within the second week of owning her.

Actually animals do bad things as well as humans (look up what ducks have made the female ducks evolve into because of their "mating" practices what otters do to baby harp seals) but it is all the more reason why we should protect them and try to get them to not do these things if there is a way, life should be fair for all organisms no matter what and all life must constantly progress to achieve this goal (that is part of what evolution is after all)

I actually have a story relating to the tiktok with the rat that the snake wouldn’t eat. So my moms friend had a snake back in 2011 and she would feed him frozen thawed rats but he never ate them so instead they tried out live rats and the snake finally started eating them, but then one time he didn’t eat the rat so instead the lady that owned the snake decided she would do some research and keep the rat. A few days later she picked up a big cage and bought accessories and all the necessities for the rat and had it for 2 years and 3 months until it unfortunately passed. She kept the cage that she kept the rat in for 9 whole years and I decided last year that I wanted to get 2 pet rats and I bought the cage for only half the price she got it for. I’ve now had my rats for probably 4-6 months now and they are really cute little guys! (the lady also had 2 rats; she bought another one after doing research)
