Another Italian American word is the classic “gabbagool” which every single mobster from the Sopranos ends up talking about. It’s actually “capicola” originally. I had a first generation Italian Immigrant grandfather and a Pennsylvania Dutch Grandmother so my childhood had a bunch of both racism and multiple languages and unique cultures, which seems counterintuitive.
