I wonder when Tilda became...Tilda. I mean, was she like this ethereal creature at 5 or did she just emerge fully formed at some random age later on...And how did that happen?? I almost don't want to look her up and see she was a mousey soul named Sue with braces like a regular human girl 😏

I don't think you would be too disappointed. In her very early films, she is very much a young women, but she very quickly morphed into this ageless genderless ravishing beauty that we know. Plus, don't forget that she was never common. She is from nobility, although it's something that she never highlights, that means she wasn't raised up mousey (and even if she was, she was fiercely independent, always). Plus, her real name is Mathilda, maybe unsurprisingly :)
