Tilder Moyo-Karizamimba is a Zimbabwean radio personality who is well known for tackling sensitive social issues. She made a name for herself at Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC)'s Radio Zimbabwe where she hosted a no-holds barred Sunday morning talk show which touched on various social issues. Some of the controversial issues that the programme has dealt with include those of satanists, child prostitutes, victims of rape and business people who use juju to enrich themselves. It was a phone-in programme and many a times perpetrators and victims called in airing their views and experiences making it worthwhile for the audiences to tune in. Kuda is remorseful and from the way he told his story, you can see that he would go back and do things differently if he could. I pray for him that his family and the deceased and his family can find it in their hearts to forgive Kuda. Yes he is serving 18 years in prison but at the end of the day he has to live with what he has done for the rest of his life, that's a life sentence. Drug and alcohol abuse is a big problem among men in Zimbabwe that needs serious investment by government through various programs and policies to prevent young men from committing drug and alcohol related crimes. The guy shows remorse and is likely to lead a different life after discharge from prison. Cause of death might be due to aspiration during vomiting when someone is semiconscious (drunken stupor) but that can also be associated with the beating on the abdomen it can trigger vomiting as well.

If his version is correct, this is culpable homicide. His version does not show an intention to kill. An additional factor is the issue of intoxication. There may have been a miscarriage of justice here. On his version , a sentence of 18yrs induces a sense of shock. An appeal could have given a different result both in terms of conviction and sentence.

It was alleged that this led to a misunderstanding between the two, during which the accused took the puppy and started to walk away but was followed by the deceased. The two wrestled for possession of the puppy, they fell but Chikukwa managed to get up first, he picked up a log and assaulted the deceased on the back. Justice Muremba heard that the deceased got up and walked for about 80 meters before he fell on his back. Chikukwa followed the now deceased, stamped him with booted feet twice on the stomach and left. It is State’s case that the deceased was now complaining of stomach and back pains, he was escorted back home by one Givemore Muzunde. The deceased was found dead the next morning by Peter Majuru. A postmortem examination was done on the remains of the deceased and it was concluded that the death was due to a peritonitis, perforated bowl and blunt abdominal trauma (internal bleeding)

This guy is innocent,he didnt get competent legal representation if at all.There is no proof that his actions resulted in the death,the fact that vainwa kachasu which is one of the biggest killers of its users is ground for exoneration...there is no proof beyond reasonable doubt that his actions directly led to the death...this is a travesty of justice!
