Tile Bluetooth Tracking Tag Review!

Apparently a LOT of folks misplace a lot of stuff... when Bluetooth tracking gadget Tile wrapped up its Selfstarter funding drive last year, it had over over 2.6 million dollars in pre-orders. Do they work? Nick from Rev3Games got a pair of Tiles from his Mom... he's got the word on how they work, how well they work, and if it's worth ordering 'em!

Tile blocked me on FB for telling people that this is a Bluetooth transmitter, not live GPS. Seems Tile does not want this fact to be widely known.

soo the tile battery dies after about a year an then you throw the tile away? there's no way to replace battery? I find that a waste of 25$a year for a 3$battery or did I misunderstand that?

I have a title connected to my I Phone 8 plus . At first it worked . maybe less than 2 weeks now if I push the title botton the phone shows the title botton was pushed but no sound even though the phone is turned all the way up . It says your phone rang from a Title. But no sound ,how do I fix this If i push the phone to find the title it rings.

The app must be running (in the background) and eats your phone battery! Key point is limited range. Very limited range. Newer models haven't improved much!

My tile works wonderfully and free shipping for tiles at the tile website. Especially that it works to find the tile or the tile works to find the phone. (even if the ringer is muted or volume is turned down) Battery use isn't that bad provided you don't have your phone in an area where wifi is unavailable in which case disable the wifi during that time. Distance is very much subject to the interference between your phone and the device and what bluetooth technology your phone is using.

Tile lacks geofencing. Sometime important for use with pets or kids. All BT (tags) devices are limited by power and antenna. None are truly a GPS device. They require a phone to plot approximate (last known) locations on the map. Cute idea, but still falling short on promises.
