What a sad storyline, poor Joel. He wasn’t given the justice he deserved. His wife should have been tried and served jail sentence. Thank you for sharing this piece of history. I really enjoy your channel, you give such depth it’s as if I’m there living the story in person.

I'm Amazzed that there are so many tombstones standing in this video! i see when it was uploaded is that the original air date so to speak? It breaks my heart to see our own, now downtown cemetery falling into ruin. I will probably be one of the last to be interred there.

Sounds like she may have been up in this murder to her teeth, but she found a way to get off

She was caught up in it for sure... I found it interesting how after her release there is simply no trace of her. Thank you for watching!

the world was a larger place then, and I think it could have been easy to get lost and never be seen again , I mean in 1906 Most people didn't have telephones or even radios

@SoCal Urbex @Jaime Explore and Travels: I would LOVE to see a treatment of Evergreen from both of you guys. Your styles are so unique that you would present widely different, and fascinating, video essays of this massive place. And I do mean massive. If you do decide to go, my suggestion is have a game plan first. Since last September, I've made about 6 trips to get the coverage I needed. This wasn't because the place is so big, it's because I'm lazy and didn't plan ahead... if I had been smart (which sadly I'm not) I could've gotten what I needed in two or three visits. If ever I can be of assistance, don't hesitate to ask - I'll be happy to answer any questions.

Jaime Explore and Travels I just completed exploring Forest Lawn in Glendale for Part 2, and Valhalla Cemetery in Burbank. Will post soon !

Valhalla is a great place! I filmed there for my Laurel and Hardy video. Actually the place had a checkered beginning... probably would make a good episode of American Greed.

Jaime Explore and Travels It has its pro's and con's, weekdays there are hardly any people around in the cemeteries so it easier to record, but expect landscapers who maintained those cemeteries to be around.

Is this cemetery still active?
@graveexplorations6 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is still going. I believe it is one of, if not the oldest continually operating cemeteries in Los Angeles.
