My husband and i married 5 yrs ago . He was 68 i was 59. 4 months after the wedding he became very sick almost dying . The sickness left him with dementia. I married him for better or worse, for richer or poorer. In sickness and in health until death do us part. I'm in it for the long haul no matter what comes along.

She abandoned him when he needed her the most. She's a terrible example of a human being. I'll bet when she says he was financially "abusive" he was trying to conserve money. So she got pissed because he restricted her activities to be financially responsible.

It's fairly typical. A lot of Drs, Oncologists & specialist cancer surgeons warn a guy there's good odds the wife will abandon if it gets real bad. Most guys will stick it out thru sickness & health no matter what. Some women will, but many modern women don't seem to have a sense of loyalty. Not sure why. I personally saw this with a friend with a brain tumour. She walked away, couldn't deal with it & left. Frank was devastated by this, he died 14 months later & when she wanted to come to the funeral we all told her to get lost. Bit¢h.

When i got home from the hospital he squerted washing up liquid in to my mouth and eyes. I left him 5yrs later. By that time id had a nervous breakdown. He was so angry i left him. As a woman, a mother, and widow I cannot believe someone would be so petty. As a young child I watched my father suffer from cancer and the toll it took on my mother to keep the house afloat. She never wavered in her dedication to him. Twenty years later when he had cancer again she was just as dedicated until his last breath. I tried to show the same level of dedication to my husband. Sadly, his passing was far more sudden.

I got married over 20 years ago and in the first 5 years, my wife was diagnosed with brain cancer and the cancer robbed me of most of my wife's short term memory and so so much more! But I didn't give up on her and she is still here with me. I can't understand the lack of empathy and love for the oath of marriage. For better or worse and sickness and health, richer or poorer. Our youth are going to destroy everything we hold dear.
@tsgrandma9837
@tsgrandma9837 Жыл бұрын
I don't blame our youth as much as society as a whole for moral destruction. The need to be popular leads to greed. When one is willing to pay $1,000 for a pair of shoes or hundreds for a simple shirt because of who designed it, that's a problem. Living like a rich person on a poor persons budget is a problem. Discipline is nearly a "thing" of the past, being taught to live by emotions and feelings, which are fleeting and ever changing, is a problem. Not holding people accountable for their actions is a problem. All of which, (and more), is what is causing this destruction and that can't simply be placed solely upon our youth.

I worked full time when my husband became terminally ill. He became mentally, emotionally, and financially abusive. It changed the dynamics of our marriage. Even though he asked me for a divorce a month before he went into hospice, I put up with the abuse because I promised him I would stay in sickness and in health, til death do we part . I had my own health issues going on, but he never knew because the last three years of his life were to care for him. He passed away six years ago, and I'm still traumatized for the way he treated me, but that doesn't matter. He passed in a peaceful environment. @@z_.5557 He's a groomer? But she's not a gold digger? Gtfoh 🤡😂🤡😂🤡 Don't even try to tell me she wasn't sniffing that bank account, that 😺 drooling over that wallet.😂 And let's just state the FACTS here shall we? At 18 she was legally an adult. Period. Able to legally move out of her parents house, and they couldn't say jack sh*t about it, get her own apartment, open her own bank account, work a full time job, sign a lease, sign for a loan, sign up for the military, get charged as an adult and serve time for the crime, walk down to the court house and get married (or divorced) without parental consent, get her own credit cards, be responsible for her own debt and credit... You see where I'm going with this champ? She was legally an adult. In full accordance and with the full blessing of the law. Why you even talking right now?

Well, on the other hand, he was 53 and she was 18 when they got married. What did he expected? He had to stick to the deal, she was young snd beautiful and he payed, he ran out of money, she's out! It makes sense to me in that kind of relationship

so what i gained from this is he was a 53 year old man who married an 18 year old (barely legal) girl and then got sick with cancer and became abusive and she was suppose to carry the burden and deal with it because he… paid her bills? and what was the relevancy of asking her height and weight

The problem I have with men wanting trad wives, is they don't want women to work but in the event of a divorce, throw it right back in our face like it's our poor decision....I chose not to have children and work my entire life ....probably to my detriment, but I have seen too many marriages end and the trad wife is left with nothing and is forced to rebuild her life from nothing.

Nice compared to my wife. HS sophomore dropout. Supported, and paid for MS degree. Informed at graduation I never helped her over the 15 years of educational support. Also informed at 10 years was told I get half of your retirement now. I was clueless and trusting. Beat me until bruised. If I resisted in Alaska you go to jail for abuse. Poisoned me. Told in court beatings and poisoning to be expected. I was faithful. She had affairs but ok for her Divorced me for a retired teacher with state perks of 100% health coverage. I was not allowed joint custody. Initially $1600 monthly child support and 100% of joint debt. I was returned $10k (wiped out our joint account when filing) and she received $100+ cash, my savings. I was passed at God. Until I knew it was not God who did this but my wife's actions and the judges rulings. (I was informed later that women who take the judge to bed get all they want in the divorce. This made sense to her smirk that this divorcewill be harderon me than her uponenteringdivorce court.) I had to ask God for forgiveness of blaming Him and forgive her. For my own health.

Yes get married and if you need it, your spouse will be there 😂. My supervisor constantly gave me the " you better get married, when your old you'll need someone to take care of you" speech. After 22 years of marriage he retired and his wife divorced him. Taking half his 28 yr pension. Last I saw him he was living in an overhead camper on a broken down pickup. So yes guys get married lol 😂😂 .

The drugs used for chemo are actually known to cause bursts of anger, mood changes & sometimes will even turn a good man (or woman) into an abuser. When I was a nurse we had a patient that went through this, he was being charged with domestic violence & the doctor somewhat testified in his defense (with a letter, not in person), it was so so sad. I'd never say you should have to stay with someone that's abusive, I certainly didn't, but in a situation like this there are ways to work through it - particularly if he/she wasn't this way before & it's obvious it's drug induced (not including illegal drugs). I don't know if this is what happened with this woman but if not, she's the exact type of woman mothers warn our sons about. Marriage needs to be taken seriously, vows should not be broken for anything except abuse & infidelity - I even lean towards divorce being illegal except for those 2 situations.

There was a -17 year difference in age when I married my spouse. He died in my arms 34 years later. To avoid any misconceptions: I was 29 when I married, and fiscally independent. To avoid the digs from his family I maintained that status. 34 years was not long enough. This woman is cruel
