WHAT A MARVELOUS NEWER RECORDING OF HIS ORIGINAL CADENCE RECORDING, WHICH INCLUDES A PEDAL STEEL GUITAR, WHICH NEVER APPEARED IN HIS SO CALLED "SOFT COUNTRY" RECORDINGS, EVIDENTLY BECAUSE THE PRODUCERS PERCEIVED THAT STEEL WOULD TURN OFF HIS POP FANS. (Was this recording and other of these newer recordings that are being posted actually made in the 1980's?, or later? It's difficult to imagine that Johnny's voice, or anyone's for that matter, could sound so good at the age of 85.) JOHNNY TILLOTSON SHOULD CERTAINLY BE ENSHRINED IN THE "COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME" FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO COUNTRY MUSIC. This is one of my all time favourites by Johnny, a singer with one of the top three voices of all time.... I am glad to hear a song from Johnny in this period of time 2023. I hope he is well and brings some more new recordings out..... But I have to say the original version, was perfection, and you can't improve on that. As a country music fan I always felt it was a country song, Johnny could take any song and make his version as good or better, than the original. I class Johnny as much a country singer as a Rock n" Roll, or Pop singer...I would say he has one of the purest voices of any singer, ranking him only behind Elvis, and Ricky Nelson, and in the country genre, only behind Jim Reeves, Faron Young, Marty Robbins, and George Jones, That's pretty heady company. I have seen him in person three times over the years, great memories.
