I think Desi showed real maturity in the last episode. She knows Mac had feelings for Riley too but instead of being overly jealous and forcing him to choose, she tells him that he should do what he thinks is right and basically implies that it's okay if he wants to be with Riley although it'd hurt her

This was the first episode since she first arrived that I actually liked her a bit. I’m hoping this MD break up will help her have her own identity. If she’s with Mac, I can’t like her due to their toxic relationship

to be honest, I think desi has known about Riley's feelings for mac since the whole codex undercover thing or at least suspected but has been trying to ignore it and although you gotta feel bad for desi I still like macriley better, they just compliment each other more than macdesi does and they have better chemistry.

I agree plus there's the fact that Desi has never told Mac she loves him and technically Mac has never said the actual words "I love you" to her. During that whole episode when they'd captured the Merchant, she said she was confused as to which version of him was real and he said the version that loved her. I have no doubt there's love there but they're not IN love and we all know that's two different things. If she did, she would never have doubted him. Then you look at all the times he's tried to talk about what happened and Desi has brushed him off and you know it's just a matter of time before they'd be over for good. If you're not going to be open and honest about the most important things, you're doomed. Mac told Riley she didn't need to say anything and she didn't hesitate. Mac tries to talk to Desi and she said let's forget it/clean slate. Mac goes to Riley not Desi to see what's going to happen next because they had a real moment. Desi likes to sweep things under the rug and Mac let her thinking they'd get to it eventually but now knows that's never going to happen and it's no longer ok with him. The next two weeks are going to make me mental with waiting, lol.

Mac as usual has no clue! But it was a huge step saying he did not want yo act like the last 24 hours did not happrn. The problem is they occurred for Riley too. Let us not forget a pending marriage proposal to Desi...prior to all this occurring.

I honestly don't see any chemistry between Mac and Desi. I like Desi as a character and hope she stays if the shows continues, but there is no chemistry there. There is more chemistry between Desi and Riley than between Desi and Mac

@@albartolina6950 Well I am the idiot perplexed by everything. I like Desi and Mack when they were first together. When they started the together not together together not together BS I was over it. Now I had no idea the season had already began so I missed the first seven or eight episodes of the season. So before that episode aired and you guys were talking about feelings and I'm like what feelings from Riley? And then I watched through songs and whatever else the replay and I'm like well I never noticed those jealous looks...duh! So I am still trying to figure it out. But as usual if I had to pick I would go with the dear friend. And they do talk to each other. And hopefully if they get in a relationship they don't stop that! Back to Desi I always thought she had commitment issues. Mac was not necessarily far behind but he seems like he's coming back around to being an adult in a relationship. And I have loved Riley's character from the beginning so I always root for her. This show has come so far you forget that at the beginning bossier was desperately trying to date Riley
