Tilly's Story.
Tilly came from the 2021 Petroff Round Up. Her eye was visably damaged so no one wanted her. Destined for a grim outcome S.E.O. asked if they could have her. Once they had her it was discovered that she was in foal.
The vet said that some significant trauma occured that injured a facial nerve. That had caused her eyelid not to close which damaged her eye and made it constantly weepy. In addition she had constant facial twitches from the nerve damage and a one sided droopy lip. She could not start on medication or have her eye removed until after she foaled. She almost instantly felt better once the eye was out. Daily medication has controlled her facial twitching.
I've recorded Tilly many times at the S.E.O. Training Barn, the volunteers putting in many hours of handling and ground work. It is really great to see those hours pay off and translate to being a riding horse. She now has a very bright future thanks to S.E.O. Tilly is now 6.
