This is a 1 month update on Tim and Harold their progress and challenges. They are starting to show their personalities, each different and unique. We discuss some examples of Metabolic Bone Disease and where they are now with that issue. 5 new Sulcata Tortoises call us home and we show them in their new enclosures.

Welcome home, new sulcatas firends! Thank you for the update on Teddy, Harold and Tim. "Fly, baby bird!" it's a great analogy, I can hear the love for them in both of your voices, and the softness of your actions. Tim and Harold eating on their own, accepting to be touched, and walking, in just one month is amazing! I love these uodates, they are always interesting and educational. I like the natural pace of the narration, the lack of background music and the minimal editing approach.

I'm so happy that you've saved Harold and Tim. They were so abused. I thank God for your organization. I know they will thrice. All turtles will thrive. I love turtles. They need specific care. I don't view it as a negative. It's care. They weren't living the best life and they truly helped. They remind us to take life easy. They are so old and haven't changed much. watching them walk around makes me smile.. being trapped in such a tiny place before, starving for so long must have really made them feel hopeless. Now, they get to roam, and eat. That's so awesome to see....I had a small box turtle once for my sons. He was in an aquarium with a heat pad and space. We fed him crickets, which he enjoyed. This has given me much education, because I love them, and all God's creations. You are amazing and Thankyou for giving us your experience and knowledge and love for them

I can't believe the difference 30 days has made. I think along with your expert care, Tim and Harold (and all your torties) can sense your love, care, peace and kindness. It's like all the studies that show people who are sick/ ill but have a great support system heal faster than those that don't. This is an amazing transformation in such a short time.

To see Harold eating and Tim seeing him eating is a good sign. Both of them having each other and not being seperated they have each other for emotional support to eat or walking or being brave to come into the sun and then to go to bed knowing they are safe is everything. Bless their hearts. You both are so kind with hearts of gold for loving and slowly day by day caring for them and being their healing companions and wiping their little mouths after eating is a very very special kind of love indeed.❤ The two or three new turtles with the bone disease will be in good hands with you. You could see that Diego was listening to every word you were saying and his little eyes were so expressive. It is heart breaking their earlier life was so unfortunate but heart warming that now he's getting as you said ' a proper life and food' and he will know that he has a forever home to know in his heart now he can live out his days knowing true human love. Teddy's had a hard little life too. Thank you from our hearts for giving him a forever home as well. And Bravo to the previous helpers who brought them to your rescue haven. That takes so much for someone to have enough compassion and concern to want the best help for the turtles and to reach out to find you bring so they can have the best care possible. Curious on Harold or any turtle can they have their individual shell that touches a leg, can that 'scoop' be filed back slightly so it doesn't touch the leg on tortoises in general? Thank you both again for all you do for every little being that is there in your care.💜💜💜💜

Can Tom and Harold ever be introduced to others in their pen in hopes of progress? If so, when? I didn't know tortoises were as communal -amazing! So happy for all of them there with you!

Tim and Harold are very large boys! It would not only stress them but put the other tortoises in danger. These two guys are at least twice as large as our largest Sulcata.
