Hate Tim Anderson but people gotta chill with the comments . He got knocked down by a luck horribly thrown punch and got right back up . Jose Ramirez is better player by far but that punch gets landed 1/100000 times

Ramirez started it with his big mouth. Andersons bad rep cannot be a justification. Anderson should have let it go. No karma here. Managers should be ashamed for continuation. It’s a ball game for entertainment. Wonder why issues arise between fans. Lousy example these pampered millionaires with ridiculous ego’s

Hey great video! Couple of quick bits of context I thought I'd add: First, on top of TA's general reputation, he also made a pretty dirty play the night before when he pushed the hand of one of Cleveland's base runners off of second base when applying a tag. By all accounts, the runner should have been called safe, and initially he was, but the call actually got overturned, so tensions were already pretty high going into this game. And not just that, iirc, Anderson was also talking smack to that base runner, who's a rookie, clearly to try to get in his head and shake his confidence, which Jose Ramirez went on record to tell TA not to do that, since they're all players trying to make a living and feed their families (the rookie in quesiton, Rocchio, has gone up and down between the majors and minors, and is on shaky ground as to whether or not he'll stick in the bigs). So JRam was also sticking up for his teammate. Also, about Naylor: there are actually two Naylors on the Guardians. Josh Naylor, the one you're thinking of, who's gone ballistic against the White Sox before, is currently on the injured list, hence why he's not more active in the fight. The Naylor you saw in this clip is his brother Bo, who typically seems to be a bit more chill. [EDIT: my mistake, that was Josh Naylor] Also for what it's worth, the last guy you saw with the teal dreads is Cleveland's closer, Emmanuel Clase. Don't know if that matters or not, I just figured I'd point that out. Again, great vid!

@@loganbeatty5589 Pay attention to Anderson's glove from the very beginning. It looks like the glove maybe swipes JRam across the face as he slides and his momentum takes him past the base and through Anderson's legs. It seems like it was definitely an accident/unintentional, but I'm betting that's what started it. All JRam knew is that he got hit in the face, and with Anderson's reputation PLUS what happened last night (Anderson forced a runner's hand off the base, the ump called him safe, the disgusting White Sox manager challenged the call like a little girl and the runner was ruled out because NY claimed that while the runner WAS forced off, a force-off CANNOT be reviewed...so the only thing they could review was whether or not the tag was applied while the runner was off the base, and it TECHNICALLY was (because Anderson deliberately forced his hand off)), JRam was just going to assume that Anderson hit him in the face on purpose...hence the reaction.

I was at the game when it happened. José was primarily defending himself. The teams already dislike eachother. Tim Anderson made an illegal play, you are not supposed to stand in the way of the runner. The way he stood over the base and the running line was not a legal play. Alls he had to do was tag José. If you look at José stance he was in defense mode not attack mode.

That's not the whole story. Jose took exception to Tim shoving Cleveland rookie Rocchio's hand off of the base in Friday night's game. Tim apparently has a reputation of picking on rookies this way... it is cheap, because YOU KNOW lil Timmy would never do this to Josh Naylor or any other big dude who is well established and would stand up to it. Jose has a problem with picking on rookies because they might be afraid to defend themselves because they don't want to be suspended or lose any playing time that they desperately need. Jose never complains much. Never been ejected (until last night). It was even reported that lil Timmy also had to be told by an umpires to stop jawing at another rookie for Cleveland, Gabriel Arias. I'm sure there are other things that were boiling under the surface. It had little to do with this tag on that particular play.

Speaking of a hockey fight. The one thing Jose did after he ducked the punch was he pushed his left arm out that caused Anderson to miss then opened him up for Jose's round house punch. That's what hockey players attempt to do is push their hand out to grab the jersey of the throwing hand and keep their throwing hand away. Not saying Jose watched hockey fight tapes lol He did grow up and play in a tough Dominican Republic baseball league.

Tim Anderson was in a south paw stance, so clearly, he wasn’t skilled in boxing stance. As soon as Jose ducked his head down Tim should have responded with uppercuts, but he allowed Jose to get his left hand to feel Tim’s neck and chin to measure him then came with the overhand right hand haymaker strike to the jaw. He didn’t even hit him with his fist knuckles but the secondary finger knuckles. Smh. It could’ve been worse.

Jermaine, I don’t understand why Anderson has this bad boy attitude when his overall baseball skills are abysmal. I seriously doubt he will ever try to mess with Jose ever again, and the only thing missing from the square off between the two would have been seeing Timmy on the ground like Pacquiao was in the fight against Juan Marquez

Tim is a lot like early black players on MLB. They got hated on for literally everything. Jackie robins once threw a baseball at Gil Hodges' head cause they kept giving Jackie 💩 and he also challenged people to fights. Gotta give props to Tim for standing up for himself.

First off. Tim Anderson didn't do anything dirty, IMO. Secondly, he should be pissed at his teammates. That's a classic case of when somebody grabs you while you're fighting, and you get slightly distracted and then you turn right into a punch. The Dominican dude on the sox grabbed Anderson from behind when he was about to clock Ramirez. It slowed the momentum of his punch and exposed his chin.

@@chelo2626ify I played baseball in HS and Tim Anderson did nothing wrong... Ramirez got up and put his finger in his face for no reason. As for the fight, I'm sorry you dont get any props from me, if I can clearly see you just swinging wildly like a girl with your head down and you happen to connect.

Wouldve been funny if the umpire wouldve chopped the air in between Anderson and Ramirez and said "ready fight"!😂

When I played baseball and there was a fight. Everyone on the other team is fair game. The first person from the other team that gets close gets punched. Coach is like if you ain't bloody after the fight you be running laps.
