There are a few comments here about Tim being “full of himself”. I want to offer my opinion of Tim. He and his wife, Susan, took care of my friend Nelson Crozier during his battle with cancer. The compassion and companionship that they provided to Nelson, proves what kind of person he truly is. Tim is much more than a “winner” in my book.

It’s all about racing This day and age from the 1990s 2000 2001s rough and tumble people behind the scenes, listening to what you guys say and do winning races winning races, cheating a certain way, but overall it wasn’t about cheating. It was about what making things work and sometimes stuff that did not work. You know I listen to your stories at night in the mornings. I’m always listening even when I’m sleeping, they download downloads podcast everything looking back on all the new history and some people had you know they had a seventh grade and that’s it seventh grade 8th grade 9th grade 10th grade then never graduated high school Coming up in the early 70s was really rough on Dale Jimmy Johnson, David Pearson oh yeah Alzheimer’s legends, the legends live on your outer that I met you as a person and all the money that you made and all this, it’s your talent everybody doesn’t have talent like you guys did He had NASCAR talent you guys winning races winning championships is what it is right down right down to the science of maybe a half inch to three-quarter of an inch listening to what you guys say on there and it comes from the heart I listen to all special drivers special teams Until you say oh it’s a matter of inches or matter of centimeters quarter inches oh yeah, I’ve heard people cheat. I’ve heard people not cheat get away with whatever but it’s OK. You know you lose your grandmother and then your son was being born couple years later sometimes family Around racing families. Hard to be about around. I look back on a lot of life. Life isn’t easy anymore. I’m not married. Don’t smoke don’t drink. I don’t drive a race car, but I’m a person that went through the struggles when my father died from cancer at the age of 49 life isn’t what it’s all cracked up to be cancer. Does a lot of damage to people. It’s all shocking from people smart from NASCAR family showing families how to do that looking back on memories, we can never have deal in heart ever again. He died in 2001 you can’t go to his house go to Google maps you can think you’re going there, but I bet you the son of Dale Earnhardt Your children. It’s a major milestone looking back on all the two time championship Xfinity you could’ve been a champion in 2003 if Matt Kenton didn’t win maybe just like your dad just winning a championship when he was in his rookie year but it’s about the resilience of NASCAR especially it’s also aboutdone before all the stages in the soft walls and all that other weird we would stop and Riverside California timber thanks for the memories timber Tim Brewer, old school, new school and Jimmer Jimmy Johnson school

I never was fond of Brewer. I always thought of him as one of the most arrogant and sneaky characters in NASCAR. Everytime someone interviewed him, I just knew he was cheating on something. He always came across like a cat in a bird's nest. Watching this I realize that he and others made the sport what it is today and I miss every minute of it. People like him added character to racing that is seriously lacking today. It's like everyone is a robot now. We never get to see the raw talent these people have any longer, even if it was bending/breaking the rules.Thanks Dale for having him on your show.

Tim Brewer is always a must watch interview! People like this is what NASCAR is missing so badly these days. Get rid of the damn IROC style identical cars and give the teams a chance to build and innovate again. This is an aspect of NASCAR racing that matters just as much as what is happening on the track. Somehow, NASCAR has forgotten that. The tweaking (or cheating, as some would call it) is just a part of NASCAR competition. It keeps things interesting.

Brewer is a one of a kind man . The best of the best . He did many innovative things with race cars , but the best I remember is how those guys changed red hot engines fresh off the race track in such a short amount of time . I"m sure they practiced that , as well as had some planned shortcuts to make it simple . Even still , no one did it better . I remember Barney Hall on the radio that day at Pocono saying " the next time you are at your local garage , and they tell you to leave your car there for a couple weeks , ask them to explain this " . A guy I would love to throw a couple back with anytime .

Oh, I wanted to mention, I never knew Tim Brewer was an immense Alabama fan and that's even more awesome in light of how Tim one way or the other always bucked conventional authority or at the very least stayed truly as he said himself to what he thought was right. Davey Allison's still my all time favorite driver and hearing Tim mention great memories with Larry Mac's very great, nonetheless.
