From this former Army soldier, thank you for doin this brother....A couple few years ago, commander of the tank crew I served with in Iraq was found hanging in his mother's garage....by his 9yr old daughter....we served in Iraq together, my 2nd and last time in that s**thole whereas he deployed one more time.... he was a good dude all around, solid under fire, and an absolutely vicious SOB when the situation called for us to be vicious....apparently he had stopped taking his meds, and stopped seein his therapist....the suicide rate of our brothers is unacceptable, I don't know how to go about addressing the problem, but goddamnit somethin has to be done....

Why do Marines do the things they do ? That's a question that has been asked by folks that are not Marines since day 1. Marines are different might be the answer. Graze 117 The Reserves still go to war when necessary. There are many MOS's that do not get to see combat.

@@graze1177 Tons of reserve Marines see a lot of tours. They'll do a tour with their "home" unit. Then once back they'll go with a sister unit. And so on

My husband (The Saluting Marine) Tim was not allowed due to medical limitations. He did drag bodies out of the Pentagon for several days. You must be young to ask such a question publicly. Tim says maturity will catch up with you someday. For now you can live in your self serving world thinking the chapters you added to our history are above others.

What better place to do it in a forum where individuals are likely to have that answer. What I didn't do was assume anything of the individual like you did of me. I am neither young or think 'my self serving world...' yada..yada. Additionally I am not a low rank which in itself brings a high level of maturity. Something which your attempt to belittle me does not demonstrate. Maybe next time answer the question being asked politely without turning it into something offensive. Also, considering you're so willing to publicly 'defend him I would have thought you would have more than 2 videos of your husband on your profile. Especially with him being such a prolific figure.
