These guys have been singing together for more than 20 years and you can tell. Chris Chatham is a master at almost any stringed instrument and is also a talented composer in his own right. And Tim's Texas roots certainly showed in this one. And I enjoy when he gets so into the song with his whole body. Those a cappella hands always intrigue me. And the laugh at the end.....

Oh, I love these Tim and Chatham songs/videos. They are so good and sometimes they are so funny because they can barely get through them because they are laughing. Man, I absolutely love Tim's country star voice as much as his deep bass. Thanks for the reaction. You would probably enjoy them doing " Oh Lord, It's Hard to be Humble ". LoL

It's always such a treat when somebody puts their private request up for us to watch. This is a really nice version of this song, and it is a complete version

Released in 1990 I believe. The video was banned from TV and is hard to find even now because after the third verse, it shows the husband laying dead on the floor. Even now, most people covering the song wouldn't even sing the third verse. Congrats to Tim for singing it. 👏👏👏

I really enjoy these informal private requests with just Tim's voice & Chris accompanying him with guitar or Tim playing piano.

Always love your reactions and personal insights. Chris Chatham also accompanied Home Free with his guitar on their original song "So Long Dixie". Well worth watching also. I love the Home Free originals. Each one is a masterpiece. I bet you really have a lovely singing voice. You make me smile also. Looking forward to your next reaction, can't wait to see what it will be.

Tim did a great job on this song ! I don’t believe Tim has anything new releasing soon but Adam Chance is releasing Leave Her Johnny ( Lowlands ) tomorrow

Just in the living room! An inidication of Tim's mortality, a regular guy. But we know he's not.

That last part just makes my toes curl. They are both so talented that it almost hurts. WOW!!! I loved it! It was originally recorded by Garth Brooks in 1989. This put his own flavor into it, and it made me love it all over again.

With pc's you can pull up about every song there is. You can also just pull up the words, no music. Songs you sang 20-40 yrs ago, you remember how it goes but can't remember the words. It's nice when you get into your 70's to have that cheat sheet. LOL

This was really good wasn it! And also, am i imagining it, or does Tim just keep getting more handsome? That devilish grin. It's difficult for me not to notice that. 😊

I can sing bass - not anything on Tim’s level, he’s a Basso Profundo - but lowering your voice doesn’t hurt, it’s more about breath control, air placement in the vocal chords & practice, I’ve learned. It takes more air to sing low than to sing high. In fact, it was scouring KZbin looking for bass singing tips/lessons I stumbled across Geoff C, and from there I learned about Tim & Home Free. It was quite the rabbit hole.

I think that you are right - it might not have been a karaoke screen, but it did look like he was checking the lyrics. Giving his magnificent memory for lyrics, I am a bit surprised, but since he admitted it was the second take, he may have "pulled an Austin" on the first one. He really seemed to relax into it as the song went on, he let his body and hands do what they wanted to instead of holding still. Tim hasn't released anything new publicly for a while, but he is releasing both originals and covers to his Patrons - some solos, others with Chris, Jeffrey, Austin, Ernie Halter, and/or Darren Rust. I'm hoping that he will turn at least a few of them loose so we can share them. He was part of the group that did Coming Home to You with Austin, which was released recently, and there will be 2 more songs from that group - soon, I hope!!

kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnbQhnawm86Mpdksi=rWzBlsuBGwW-75Wj Try tim and his wife covering save the last dance for me. Hes got many songs on his patreon that are truely phenomenal. Some of them could legit be chart toppers if he went solo, but thats not where his heart is at. I love his bass range, and its rare for a man to be as good down there as he does, but his baratone and lower tenor range are his sweet spots for me. Hes such a good singer and has such agility. He can do the runs that austin and rob can do....check out his tennisee whiskey for example or his early cant help falling in love cover.
@nancyholter56468 ай бұрын
While I love Tim's singing runs, his 'standing bass' runs completely floor me. His ability to sound like a plucked string on every note defies logic for me.
@princessButtercupp8 ай бұрын
@@nancyholter5646 100%. His tone all through his range is phenomenal. He could have legit been one of those crooners back in the day when the nat king coles ruled the air waves....but his timing and again agility down in the bass notes are second to none. He does sound like a string instrument when the song calls for it. One of my favorite things is that he always serves the song
