Being a part of your Maker team was truly one of the greatest honors of my life. The passion, creativity, and soul you poured into everything you did inspired not just me, but an entire community of makers to dream bigger, push boundaries, and create with our whole hearts. I am so proud to have had the privilege to stand beside you and contribute to your vision, in my own little way. Your leadership, innovation, and generosity created more than just products; you created a movement-a family of creatives who will carry your legacy forward with every brushstroke, ink blend, and detail we create. While it’s bittersweet and though your path may be shifting, I have no doubt that wherever it leads, it will be just as remarkable as the journey so far. Thank you, Tim, for everything-for the inspiration, the opportunities, and the countless moments of joy. You’ve left a mark on this world that will never fade, and I’ll forever be proud to say I was one of your makers. ❤

Tim Holtz and Mario helped me through the Covid years. Being secluded just to keep my health intac was lonely, but having Tim's Saturday "Lives" was the connection I needed to get through it all. So many creative ideas, I wanted to try them all. I owe a big Thank You to Tim and his team of Makers for their tireless creativity and willingness to share their ideas. They will never fully understand what all they have contributed to so many people. Thank you all. Forever grateful.

You and Mario, Paula, Both Zoeys,Luise, Stacy, Susie, and so many more! I love the support and community that you created. World wide! All because of a young man with great ideas at a Ben Franklin store. You changed the world! Our craft/art world. Making it cool to show our grungy side. I was in my 40’s now 60’s the world has changed a lot in 20 years. But you giving me an outlet and direction for coping with some ugly things. Saved me, and my mental health. The creative soul within us is unstoppable - it’s who we truly are. No matter where life takes us or how our careers evolve, the pull to create, to make something with our hands and hearts, will always guide us back to our passion. Sometimes, we take detours, explore new paths, or let practicality steer for a while, but the creative spark never dims. I am excited for you and the whole community ! Best wishes Tim ! 💛

So happy for you…I taught for 3 decades and was planning to keep going until a cancer diagnosis that stopped me in my tracks and made me reassess what I wanted to do with the time I have left on this planet. Having the freedom to create whenever, wherever & whatever I want has been such a joy and also healing for me. I am currently cancer free, creating full-time just for me because it is what I want & need to do right now in my life and everything else just fell into place. People assume I have retired, and that’s fine if living my best life as a full-time artist is what they think of as retired…I call it heaven on earth! So, welcome to heaven on earth…good for you for recognizing what you need without another life threatening event happening. I appreciate that you are willing to stay connected with all of us who cherish and use all of the amazingly designed quality products you and your team have cranked out over the last two plus decades to help us create. Looking forward to seeing what you create! ❤

Mine was in no way compared to your talent, product creations and designs, however it was a hard decision yet I am so glad that I did it. Thank you for all the years of wonderful products and education. I look forward to seeing the fun things you create in the future. Love and blessings and happy new year!

Watching replay. It takes real courage to step back, reflect and make the decision you’ve made!! I met you in person once in MI show and took pics with you. I cherish them sooo much! Met Mario at the cash register. I was blown away by your humility!! I remember seeing you on Carol Duvall show!! Now my husband knows who you are and how famous a creative genius you are etc lol. I often wondered how stressful your life must be to constantly keep up with the deadlines and designing new products etc. I couldn’t keep up with new products and justify buying all that. So I waited to get them on sale or years later at times when some stores got them etc. It sounds like your decision will give you that well deserved change in life. I myself have hoarded your stuff and not always sure what to do with them exactly other than basics. I hope to now learn more techniques and ideas from you!! You’re a true light and inspiration to millions in this world. Best to you and Mario!! ❤ I often quote you “you do you” and “ if you’ve got nothing good to say, say something good anyway”! I like it bcuz it forces us to think of a positive thing to say bcuz there’s always something nice we can say or do under all circumstances to lift someone’s spirits!!

In case you don’t see this in the addicts group… Dear Tim, Thank you for being your awsome self. I have to say that your new direction feels bittersweet however, I know you are doing what's best for you, which will ultimately be best for all of us who love you & your products. What you don't know is how you helped me through the past 5+ years. Back in 2016ish I found the addicts group because I had made something with your fabrics and was curious to see what others were making. Well, I fell down the rabbit hole of paper crafting and I have loved every minute of it. What I had no clue about is how incredible of a human you and Mario are and I had no idea how great this community is. From 2020-2022, my husband and I worked crazy hours making toilet paper, which is funny now, but it was serious business. Most weeks we only saw each other a few hours a day, if at all, and we had one day off together every other week. To say I was lonely is an understatement. But your videos, this awesome community, using your products and having something fun to look forward to during all the illness, death and chaos helped get me through those times. I watched many videos and looked at many posts during my breaks at work. I even went back to the beginning of your blog and read most of it. And my husband figured out how much I loved this craft and built a studio for me with the little free time he had. Thanks for this wild ride and like everyone else, I look forward to seeing what you do in the future! XO, Des

Thank you, Tim! You touched on it a year ago during one of your lives…all the new products can be very overwhelming, which was exactly how I’ve been feeling and therefore, not really creating. I’ve been crafting for 25 years and have all the stuff. I love new techniques and items as I’m a shopper, too, but it has become too much. I’ve read comments over and over saying, “I need to use what I have.” As an industry leader, what you are doing is hopefully sending a message to other companies to sit back and reevaluate the amount of product they produce. Your products are the best, always well thought out, but you are also a great creator. Your team creates beautiful stuff but I think I enjoy your products best when you just grab a tag and start playing like you did a couple of months ago. Looking forward to seeing more in the future.

I cannot love this enough! You deserve to do what makes you happy! You have given so much to the creative world! I for one am so appreciative of your willingness to share with us all!! Different circumstances but after the loss of my husband of 30 years I am having to figure out what I want to be when I grow up 😂. Creating has always been there for me and I am leaning into it

Tim & Mario, I thank you both for the endless list of ideas, processes, products, inspiration, love and inspiration of life you have so generously and humbly given the crafting industry. I pray that whatever you both want and need will happen. I, as well as, 99% of your crafting family just want you both to be happy. I know the decision you have made is the right decision for you and that is all that matters. I look forward to the future, enjoying what you have given us and whatever we may be blessed with in the future. We have not begun to scratch the surface with the items you have already inspired and now I will have more time to enjoy what I already have and hopefully discover new ways to use them. Like you have said, it’s not end of anything really, it’s a new path and a new direction to be embraced, enjoyed, and loved. God bless you both!!!!!!!!!! MaryLisa

I am so excited for you!! Ive been "collecting" stamp supplies for 25+ years now. 90% of the items are unused. I remember when you first came on the scene. So refreshing, different, exciting and the joy you felt as you shared your ideas... it sucked us in to this amazing craft. I am looking forward to watching and learning from you again, using the supplies I have and finding joy in the creative process. Best of luck in this new chapter! 2025 is going to be an amazing year

Thank you Tim for all the amazing product you have created and inspired us with over the years. I admire you for being able to be true to you and do what you need to do for you. That is so true to keep doing things until you see it is taking away from you rather than adding to you. I look forward to you continue to show us how to 'play'! Thank you Mario for always showing your support for Tim. You guys are amazing. I look forward to playing with all my Tim Holtz products that I do have and seek knew ways to use what I have.

Tim--your personal integrity is something that be shared as an example to the world. You owed us nothing and yet you showed up to explain your decision, to make sure there was understanding, to thank us and to encourage us to continue to do what we love. Your integrity, commitment to the creative community, gratitude and authenticity is mind blowing. For me, it was your demos that allowed me to unlock my creativity and to recognize that I'm not just a copy-crafter but a real artist so I am thrilled to know you will continue with education. Thank you for everything. Looking forward to seeing what unfolds!!

Congratulations for making this big break back to your maker roots and what makes you tick! Something you said about bringing your crazy ideas to life reminded me that you have brought the paper arts world a library or storehouse of inventory from your creative point of view to our hobby room stash. You built for us the tools that allow each of us to go infinite directions creatively. Tim Holtz designed products are special. Pulling out a set of stamps or dies or ephemera always feel loaded with potential - not to mention outstanding quality! Well Done!! Now we get to see “you do you”! Here’s to getting back to ‘inky fingers’!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Now, in a selfish way, I will finally get to use all the wonderful products I have bought over the years! Thank you! You are one of my favorite artists!

You went back to 2020, and that year was crazy in so many ways. I closed down my wedding flower business, which I had for 29 years. After cleaning out my workroom to the cleanest it had been in all those years, I stood there looking at it with a huge question hanging over my head. What was I going to do with my creativity? Yes, I could return to what I knew...drawing, painting, crafting, etc, but my heart was searching for something new. Then I found one of your KZbin videos! My daughter and I were hooked from that point on!! My workroom is now filled with years worth of your creative supplies, and my cards are donated to a local children's hospital here in Tucson, and to assisted care homes for the elderly. Tim, we admire your kindness, work ethic, and incredible creativity! Thank you for sharing those with all of us! There is, and always will be, only one Tim Holtz!! We're happy for you and will look forward to your new videos coming this year. Love to you from SoAZ!

Thank you Tim and Mario for all of your hard work and innovations over the years. I've been a big Tim Holtz fan right from the start but even I was at a point where I was collecting the products but not having time to use them before another release (and at the same time not wanting to miss out). Tim, I applaud your ability to see that being creative is far more important than simply selling product. I took a retailers class that you did in Australia many years ago and I absolutely love the way you teach and I'm really excited for you and for you to be creative again. As a retailer myself, I know that business comes before creating and that makes me frustrated too. I'm truly excited about the next stage in your career.

Congratulations Tim! I'm really excited for you to have more time to create. I sensed that something was coming. I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed myself, to be honest, with work, life and medical issues, and running out of room to put more new products. So I actually welcome this shift with open arms. I couldn't be more happy for you to keep your spark of creative light shining, and see you online having fun with creative play time with us. Happy New Year to you and Mario, may it be joyful, fun, happy and healthy! ☺️❤️🎉🥳👏

I was in my 40s, and a buyer in my working life, when I discovered you! As soon as I could retire, I did so, and I am now a very happy ‘maker’ . The transition was marvellous, but made all the better by having your designs and inspirations. You have been and, hopefully, will continue to be a total source of inspiration for us all and I wish you all the best in the next exciting new phase of your life. Thank you and your team for all your hard work. Happy crafting. X

Bravo! I'm 66 years old. Retired from a full-time 10 years ago. Immediately began volunteering locally and buying a TON of cardmaking supplies. They were set aside. It's 81 days until I'm released from my volunteer responsibiliies and will spend WAY more time in my craft room. I totally get it! Hopefully, it's a win for you and I see it as a big win for crafters!
