I really don't think the Orioles are as desperate for pitching as everybody seems to think they are. Bradish just finished 4th is Cy Young voting. Grayson Rodriguez was one of the best starters in baseball the last 3 months of the season once he got called back up. John Means is a great veteran starter. Kremer has a 3.7 ERA his last 2 years. Tyler Wells was leading the majors in WHIP before his injury in July. Cole Irvin is a solid #6 spot starter. They also have young guys like DL Hall, Chayce McDermott, Seth Johnson and Cade Povich who aren't far off from getting a chance to start in the bigs. Could they use a veteran innings eater? Sure. But they're far from desperate.

@@marcosc7375 they won 101 games with a $60 mil payroll. I think they're fine. lol. They were great for 5 months and had a bad 3 game series against the eventual World Series champs.

@@brandondillman5841 yeah they lost whether they won 85 games or 110 games because you needed great starters. You need very good starters. And yes they will probably still be under 60 million all the way. But hey if you think that’s good enough go for it.

Angels are a losing franchise. Period. Nothing they do will give them 95 wins and a Wild Card birth. They still need a better option at 3rd for when Rendon goes down and at least 2 capable starters. Another 3rd or 4th place in their division is what we can expect

So the Brewers shouldn't go for it? I know they need to get out of the Cubs and Cardinals way. But I love the fact they are at least trying rather than always looking for the future and having untapped potential.

In the long run we’re all dead. The Brewers might as well go for it, especially in that division. Don’t give owners excuses for endlessly delaying trying to win.

Why are these guys having a hard time understanding that the Angels are building out their bullpen and ALSO adding a starter and one or two bats? They'll probably sign one more reliever and that will give them quite a nice pen. Add Montgomery and Clevinger to start? Sign Adam Duvall. Maybe sign a Tim Anderson who's healthy and looking for a bounce back. Maybe trade with the Marlins for a starter to go with Clevinger. If the Angels just signed Duvall,Turner and Clevinger (all within their budget) suddenly they'd have a very good team that is better and deeper than last year with Ohtani. Schanuel Trout Turner Duvall O'Hoppe Drury Ward/Moniak/Adell options Neto Rendon/Regnifo Where exactly is the hole in that lineup? And it's upgraded further if they opted to sign Bellinger. Bullpen now solid. They need one-two starters.

Who's counting on Rendon? Drury had 26 HRs and 83 RBI at mostly second last year and he won a silver slugger the year before. The Angels won't be as good as the Dodgers, but they don't have to be to get into the playoffs. How did the Dodgers do in the playoffs last year and most years?@@DodgersWsChamps

All the Angels good players can’t stay healthy. It’s not complicated. But, sure, if they get a full year out of Trout et al, Moniak keeps raking, etc it’s a decent lineup.
