I'm Argentine, personally I think the main thing that the US players need to do is develop the right attitude and mindset. For the Argentine players, there is nothing more important than the national team. they will move heaven and earth and travel to any corner of the world for an opportunity to play for the national squad, even if it's just a friendly match. Some of our players have played with severe injuries, changed teams to get more game time at expense of salary, or had clashes with their clubs because they prioritize the national team. I'm sure Pochettino will take note on who are the players that are most passionate about the national squad and that will be seen on the pitch.

Training under a South American coach at any level is different. My coach growing up was from Peru and not only was he an amazing coach but the mentality he instilled has stuck with me in life outside of football.

@@Johnnybgood76 Most of our players play in Europe so in my opinion we should hold camp in Europe and play friendlies against European teams. Most of our guys are flying across the Atlantic to play two games just to fly back and are expected to be 100% for match day which won't happen and it disrupts their club form.

You're mistaken, that rigth there is what the US players need to change. I'm Argentine. Most of our players are in Europe and we are even farther away coming to south America. Our players will never complain about travel, and will move heaven and earth for the opportunity to play for our national team, be it friendly or not, and on any corner of the world. That is why we are historically one of the top teams in the world. that said, playing European and South American teams will help the US team develop a higher competitive standard.
