Very beautiful mare. It's adorable how she does what is asked and at the same time protests in a somewhat ladylike manner. I like her a lot!

Hi Tim ☺ 👋 It's Melinda, from Australia again ☺ Thank you for your fantastic video's, Tim & Malinda ☺ 👌 I have only been following you for a few month's, but I look forward to them. As I am learning, much about horse's and riding from you. Unfortunately, I cannot ride horses anymore. Due to being seriously injured, in a horse riding accident. I have permanent spinal injuries, and have a spinal cord stimulator permanently installed in my lower back. That is why, I am not allowed to ride. Because if I did and I was trampled on, the 2 leads on either side of my spinal cord could move and may cause paraplegia. The 2 leads are held in place by scar tissue from their placement, and are inside my spinal column. I have this, because I have constant neuropathic pain in both my legs. It is their to try to override the pain signals, that are being sent constantly to my brain (I still have pain, it is just improved). The last 4 discs in my lower back are ruptured, torn, and bulging. I am having a lot of problems with one particular disc, and have more neurosurgery when I am ready to tackle another operation. I often get asked, Do I hate horses now. I don't. I still like them, but have to enjoy them from ground level now. I was injured, whilst riding someone else's horse, that I didn't know, and that I hadn't rode before. So I put my trust, in the owner's judgement. A lesson for other's, to take into consideration. If you are offered a ride, on a horse that you don't know. Anyway...... I really love, Breezy 😆 👌 Bye, Tim. Thank you for sharing, with us all ☺ From, Australia ~

Super job Robert, Tim and young BLM mare.
@Sine-gl9ly
@Sine-gl9ly Жыл бұрын
She's a good size and looks as if she has plenty of bone - considerably bigger and with more bone than the BLM mustangs I've seen elsewhere. Would that be because she was raised in captivity, and thus improved nutrition in captivity (compared with the wild-born/raised ones) has enabled her to reach her physical potential, or is it just by chance?
@timandersonhorsetraining
@timandersonhorsetraining Жыл бұрын
Every herd has their own genetics and rarely interbreeds with other managed herds. Born in captivity might have something to do with it but can not trump genetics.
@Sine-gl9ly
@Sine-gl9ly Жыл бұрын
@@timandersonhorsetrainingThanks for that. Tbh, I know very little about mustangs and I had _no idea_ the herds were so closely managed and different lines/strains/type kept more-or-less separate.

Do you ever use or start horses in a bosal? Thank you for the videos, very helpful and no harsh methods.
@timandersonhorsetraining
@timandersonhorsetraining Жыл бұрын
Unless a horse is going to be shown by a person experienced in using a bosal I do not recommend using one so I rarely use one. Even the trainers that I know that will show NRCHA bosal classes rarely start them in it.

Was this her first ride? That is amazing. Yes, my mustang mare needed a few rides to walk forward. On the other hand on ride 5 she completely listened to my weight and legs.

Hey Tim, had a question. When you have her in the driving reins and you turn her against the wall. Just by the nature of the rein you have to turn her away from you. I’m sure lunging you’d prefer her to turn into you. Is that confusing at all to her? Thanks
@timandersonhorsetraining
@timandersonhorsetraining Жыл бұрын
It's rely not confusing, think about when I talk about turning when lunging I say, meet at the wall, 2 eyes, send. 2 eyes is pointing her nose with the line which is exactly what I am doing when driving. I want her to turn with the pressure whether that is to the wall or away. I have a video of this progressing to the sliding stop, I think I am on Trigger, where I turn away from the wall to teach a straight stop. Does that make sense?
@jadam-2024
@jadam-2024 Жыл бұрын
It does, thank you. As long as she’s following the pressure where you’re applying it ….. it should be clear to her.

What do you do if you’re driving a horse and they just don’t go forward ? Do you go back to lunging ?
@timandersonhorsetraining
@timandersonhorsetraining Жыл бұрын
Yes. That is why I do not run the lines through the stirrups. Makes going back and forth like that very easy.
