I took a double take when I heard his name. I shared my life with an Anglo/Arab mare for 30 years. Her name was Amira. I got her as a 2 year old in 1977. I was about 16 yrs old. She's buried down in the meadow on my farm. She was 32 when I lost her. I buried my youth with that mare. Best horse I ever shared my life with. I think of her every day. She was bold, confident, and brave. She taught me to be the same. You can't tire out or force an Arabian, you can only outlast them with patience and confidence! I love your videos, especially the Arabian and the wash rack ones. I've been following your other channel and have been trying to keep you and your family in thought and pray. Many blessings to you, your family, and team. Keep up the good work!

When I was a young girl, my mom's friend had Arabs, (over 50 years ago). She showed them. So, of course my first horse was an Arab. When I hit my 20's, I switched to Quarter horses. I have had quarter horses ever since. I have to say this, you are great with Arabs. I love all of the Arabians that you have trained and currently are training. You explain so well, how they truly are. I really loved my Arabians. Thank you!

Owner of ranch where we keep our horse also has Arabs. She’s been switching over from mustangs so seems to have great training skills. In fact one of her mares (white Arab) is almost cuddly. Runs off of you move too quick, but loves getting scratched under her chin.

I have deep respect for trainers who know their limits and openly say they are not the right trainer for that situation. It leads to better outcomes all around. No one can know everything and it sounds like it wasn't a good fit between that trainer's skill set and what this horse needs. It doesn't mean they are a bad trainer, rather, they are an HONEST trainer who can excel with most horses and send the others on to a person who is a better match. I look forward to seeing his progress under your guidance. Robert has him well in hand so far.

Just a minute in, but: does Leo know that he is the cat who has the biggest litter box? I had to giggle when he peed in the riding arena. He's the king for sure 😻💪

Love your detailed commentary as Robert progresses tacking up and the ride. You help me improve my observation skills tremendously! Everything means something and picking up the subtleties makes all the difference. Love Robert’s style! He moves so meaningfully from A to B, always with purpose and kindness. Great approach to training and life in general❣️

Interesting you mention about him being gelded later and it influencing the " in charge streak" because I see that in my gelding and he was gelded as a yearling just before I acquired him. It would explain a lot if that was true!
