Man, you make those 16th note triplets look so easy... Phenomenal playing as always!

There's no 16th note triplets in this piece. There's 16th notes, but they're not triplets. Plenty of 8th note triplets though...

+James Leach Thanks :) for this video, I think I did 8 takes of the vibe solo before I got one I felt was good enough.

i know you’re probably tired of this question being asked, but what mallets are you using in this piece? i play mallet percussion for my school’s band and was just curious.

why not in Eb (Cm) ? i think that was the original tone
@TimCollinsVibes6 жыл бұрын
That's a good question - I this video is old enough that I can't remember why I did it in F minor (Ab)...probably because in some real books that's the key it's in. Most singers I've played it with do it in Eb (C minor), you're right.

Tim Collins I'm a beginner self thaught, and this answer me a big question! I have to check the tone of the songs from real books (and the original song), and not always of famous musicians / singers. That way I can know the "most universal" tone, for play with other people. Very thanks (from Chile)! and sorry for my (probably) bad redaction PS: I searched for several interpretations of this song, and yours is one that I enjoy the most, thanks for the good video and for your help
