Great-Great-Great video. I have learned an immense amount of knowledge. Most videos are made as ego trips. They really do not instruct you how to "really" accomplish the task at hand. Unlike these videos, you have elaborated on the detail which is so necessary for professional quality work. Many thanks. I now need to go back to your past videos!

I can’t believe how long I stuffed around with poly before using hard wax - goes on so much easier and it much more forgiving Wouldn’t mind trying one of the uv finishes but they’re crazy expensive

First off all... love your content. Did you film the making of this cabinet? I saw the installation of the drawer slide and the hinge mishap... nice save btw. I would have like to have seen the making of this cabinet... there are those of us who would watch that 😊

Great video, Timbecon. Looking forward to your next upload! I smashed that thumbs up icon on your content. Keep up the fantastic work! Your tips on mixing the hard wax with dye were really insightful. How do you determine the best dilution ratio for different types of wood to avoid blotching?

The absolute best advice is, "test it on scrap first"! Get a few pieces of the same timber and prepare them in exactly the same way you did the surface prep of the piece itself. Then you can apply different mixes and see how each of them behaves. It can be time-consuming but it's the only way to be sure....

Really like Evolution Hard Wax oil (Classic). Use it just about exclusively on furniture and am now trying it on my turned items. Cheers

How much easier is it to apply than poly, it takes me ages to get it right even using a product like feast watson wipe on but hardwax oil you can do a rubbish job applying it and it still looks good
