Would be interested to hear more about what you can do with this base and router combo 👍

I’ve looked at these on Scott’s site but at the time the exchange rate was terrible then having to add international postage made it impossible for me. Good to see the jig available from Timbecon. Will definitely be getting one as I’m very interested in doing some inlay work but also easily adjustable circle cutting jig for some resin work I’m doing.

Bought it and my Makita router base does not fit 😔
@timbeconaus2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tomi, there is a list of compatible routers on the product page you would have purchased the Router base from. If it is one of those then it should fit, you can send an email to our customer.service@timbecon.com.au and they will be able to help you out

Tomi, there is a video on the manufacturer's KZbin channel showing how to fit this to any router. The issue I have is there's no 1/4" centering pin included for my small DeWalt router so I'm yet to figure out how to accurately drill it. If your Makita is a 1/2" collet you should be fine to custom drill the base.

6.07: Why does this not conform to Australian metric rule? You are selling this item in Australia we do not use imperial. I am surprised you did not tell us it was made from "aloominum".
@timbeconaus3 жыл бұрын
It was developed by an American as Patrick said in the video. Unfortunately they haven't caught up to the rest of the world just yet.

Yes it is pricier than other lower level models but consider the time and effort that went into development, the time you’ll save, the versatility of the base and the quality of the materials. This base should last a long time!

Almost $300.00! Expensive even if you can get a tax write off and if you can't...

@@timbeconaus We have a brutal commercial system unless this has been patented there is no protection for "time and effort" anyone with a CNC capable of cutting aluminium is free to copy. Even if it has "time and effort" does not guarantee a high return. I am not saying that it is not nicely made and well thought out merely very expensive.
