If you haven't yet Stephanie, you should watch the movie American Graffiti, it was made in '73 set in the 50's, it's the best movie about the 50's of all time. It was direvted by George Lucas. It's out on blu ray now. When you watch it on blu ray it feels like your really there. It plays 50's rock'n'roll and doo-wop, and love songs in the teens cars when they cruise, and at the drive-in restaurants, and sock hops. It has all kinds of hot rods.

yeah the 50's...great times... racism, sexism, and homophobia... damn, wish i was alive back then......
@ffdztdr10 жыл бұрын
***** lol you have to be stupid if you think there was anymore racism, and sexism, than there is today lol. The mid 50's is when everything changed teens got their own music, teens rebeled against their parents, they cruised, drag raced, hot rodded, greasers, rock'n'roll. white teens stood up for blacks. they also used black slang. there were tons of bands with blacks and whites mixed, You need to see the movie American Graffiti, it's bad ass. People are just giving you false preceptions of the 50's! Also the 50's weren't as old school as people make it out to be, teens did the same thing back then as they do today. and husbands didn't really boss their wives around or were sexist. Most men were hen pecked and did what their wives told them to do, because they loved their wives and wanted their wives to be happy. Those 1950's tv shows you watched are so far from the truth it's unreal, they were just shows, most shows and movies back then were not mean't to depict real life because they didn't find that as entertainment. Kids listened to music more than movies but they did watch James Dean movies. But movies changed forever when American Graffiti came out in 1973 by George Lucas director of Star Wars, it sparked all the coming of age movies like Dazed and Confusde, American Pie and Superbad. It was designed to never get old. American Graffiti is the best movie of all time for the 50's.
