awesome build! For the (camera) focusing problem. Focus the camera, and then set the lens to manual focus, so it doesnt keep trying to adjust to your movement!

Man this is exactly what I want to have. Not alot of info for building swings.. This is probably the best video explain. I have no experience with this so I don't think I can make this.. Do you guys do kits ?
@cerupsly3 жыл бұрын
You can totally do this yourself. I’m just a guy with a day job. I don’t do this for a living. But all the lumber is stuff you could get at Home Depot. My only advice is to go a little wider than I went so you have move room for swings.

Great mortise work! Isn't your main beam only being held on by a small 1" chunk of mortise (in the direction of the swinging)? As your kids get older, heavier, and swing higher it could put some lateral load on that 1" joint. Might want to toss a steel bracket up there just so a 100lb beam doesn't come down on their head. Probably best to use a 90 degree angle bracket on the inside where the main beam meets the vertical support, since that will place the shear force where the steel is the strongest.

where did you find the nylon cover for the chain

I got it off a climbing website. It's 2" tubular nylon webbing that climbers use.

Yeah not much help on the ol interstream. I ended up with a bunch of scribbles and high plans the same as you. So I done the right thing and threw money at it...I bought premade swing angles from jungle easy 123 lol.

Nice job! It is surely a pretty hard work. I love that you decided to use mortise and tenons joints. That involves more skills than a regullar joint. More measurements, lots of chiseling. I've made a swing set too (Last week). I chose a easier way. Please check it out.
