I work in the trades. You typically dont see anyone wear Timbs as work boots anymore because most job sites and companies require steel-toe boots. I've been wearing JK and Thorogood moc toe steel toe for years. Back in the late 90s - early 2000s the thing to do was wear your timbs on the street and when they got dirty and creased you would wear them to work and finish them off😂.

Eh, it's not what I'd call high quality footwear but it's about as good as the stuff Thursday puts out and certainly is more comfortable and better looking. Also being insulated and fully waterproof is a thing that can be beneficial sometimes. Has a place if you're looking for a beater pair to wear in the snow or very wet winter weather and look good while doing it.

What is all the crap that Timberland can't be resoled? Timberland are one of the best boots to resole, because it has a midsole that is glued to the foot bed and the upper and the outsole is glued to the midsole....all you need is heat(heat gun or hair drier) and a pair of pliers to pull the outsole off and then go to your local cobbler to glue on new outsole for like 50-60 bucks. P.S.: I discovered your channel a week ago and I love it...keep up the good work.

@0101-c5c2 жыл бұрын
Just purchased some premiums size 9.5 men noticed that if I don't lace them tight the heel slips up. But the toe area feels firm, and if they're laced tightly they stay pretty firm. Ideally I don't like the tight look, I prefer them a little loose. However, do you recommend sizing to 9 or 8.5? Or should I just stick to lacing them tight currently.
@user-od2ov1zv3j2 жыл бұрын
I’ve always been told Your meant to go 1 size down from what you usually wear in everything else. Eg: you usually wear a 9.5 you’d get a 8.5 in timberlands

So if your Tims are slightly on the smaller side you can just remove the insole for a little extra room? Mine are partucularly snug. I got US 10s and usually I'm an 11 so I think I made the right choice... but still. Will it be uncomfortable?

+1 I’ve had my wheats for 3 years now. Only issues I’ve noticed are the heel is worn a bit on a steep upward angle, and the sole also seems to be drying and cracking very slightly in areas of high pressure. Should last another 3 years comfortably. The lining at the back of the heel got worn and was showing the heel cup. I had a cobbler replace the leather lining for $20(AU). The wheat cleans up nicely they still look good. Casual wear through most days in winter and cooler summer days.
