Samatha sends Nick's career to the sea with her first very notes

This is my favorite Les Miserables concert. Nick is the only down side sadly

Nick Jonas can be passable as Marius. The thing is his co singers are really excellent so his performance is drowned out. And this is the 25th anniversary, a recorded version of the show. He’s extremely lucky to be chosen as Marius over the many other actors in the show’s 25 years when there could have been Mariuses more excellent than him.

His acting is the main thing that makes me not like his performance. His hands are always in the same position and he always has the same expression on his face

Absolutely stunning voice and such talent. With that being said, this song is supposed to be gentle, wispy, and even a bit breathy and broken. Definitely not the type of song to flex one's superb singing voice.
@gabbo1642 жыл бұрын
So she sang the song too well for you??? You wanted her to sing it more shit???? Bwahaha
@imaginevocals4002 жыл бұрын
@@gabbo164 I agree with her, she does have a TREMENDOUS voice but at the same time she seems so confident and imo way more than it should be, my favorite performance is from the 10th anniversary by far, it seems she’s really dreaming, it’s like this one she’s asking herself the questions but the felling is excitement while the 10th the felling was doubt, not saying it’s wrong tho, it depends on the felling this songs brings to you and for me is doubt so I’d rather the 10th anniversary performance
@yourheartisamusclethesizeo20032 жыл бұрын
disagree, imo film acting and musical acting are two different crafts that shouldn't become infused into each other. the entire point of singing is that it's distinct from simply speaking - so trying to speak-sing kind of just defeats the purpose of the musical medium and just creates bad singing. check out Sideways' video essay on Les Misérables (film version), it explains my idea a lot better.
@h0lywar Жыл бұрын
i hear you but disagree, i find her performance gives cosette way more character and agency in her story by sounding more assertive and confident.

why do marius and cosette look frustrated and not inlove

because this is not the 10th anniversary concert
@YouWouldntStealABag4 жыл бұрын
I personally liked her better than the 25th anniversary girl. Cosette is frustrated teenage girl and i can believe that when I watch this actress, both of them are beautiful singers but the 10th anniversary girl seems like a love sick mature 25 woman which the actress probably is but cosette most certainly isn’t. That’s just my opinion, but don’t be so quick to dismiss other versions of les miserables.

How I wish that instead of Les Mis she was christine in the phantom 25th concert and John Owen Jones The Phantom... it SHOULD have been them. cameron mackintosh is a mercenary scumbag. JOJ deserved the poto concert, HE IS Erik. There is so much Les Mis stuff out there, I wish there was at least a good quality video of John with Katie in poto at Majesty's. John & Katie are the best pairing ever, they actually matched the characters in Leroux's novel. Endless rage.
