Both of these synths go quite deep. I wouldn't necessarily call them simple. The FM has some deep edit modulation settings and the Drum you can just about create any sound with.

@@krostifmusic Same, people said it's metallic and not suited for "normal" sounds, but it just shows how little time they actually spent with it. The fact that it has a built in "reverb" makes it so powerful when you only have a stereo output mixer and one set of pedals. The Volca Bass is also an amazing and often overlooked Volca. The main drawback to both of these is the sequencer, but you can use something external for that.

Looking to pair a 70CDR with a Xone92. So glad to have found this demonstration. Would be curious to learn, if you feel the 70CDR offers too many options to play with in a live setting? Lots of features built into it, but I wonder if it's too complicated to busk with.

After recordings, I spent near two months in self "mastering" to approach an acceptable sound quality (I hope I nailed it) with also a bit of ear fatigue.. Sorry it isn't shown in the video but you need a "mixer" to put them together. Lots of choice from a cheap passive one to a big multitrack console. In this vid for the cdr, the volca fm output goes directly in the zoom pedal and zoom output in the channel mixer. Some mixers also have send/return which you can use to send on any channels you need, useful if you have several synths :) cheeers !

@@LuisTorres-qz5kr haha sorry for the confusion 😅 I chose Volca FM for its versatility (can make bass, leads, pads, even perc sounds). It is also the only one with an arpeggiator.. Volca keys can be nice too and can make lots of différent sounds, more intuitive in sound design but no patch slots. And it can be ridiculous but I also like to have 16 pattern slots instead of 8 😅

Thank you !🙏 space hole was the 1st in the chain. I remember tried both and it worked better for what I wanted to do 😊

Great jam, can you explain how you connect the volcas to the zoom? With a mixer?

Thank you! 🙏 Only the volca fm is connected to the zoom here. Volca drum output to one mixer channel, volca fm output to the input of the zoom, and zoom output to a second output of the mixer 😊
