Perpetrators of this ethnic violence must pay with their own lives. I'm appalled that violence and tyranny, death and destruction of this scale is not a national issue !! This situation is the result of mismanagement of the state and the Central governments. It was intentionally instigated for political advantage, but now none are able to quench the fire. Biren Singh indeed is the problem. He and his govt must go. He and his cohorts have ignited an unrealistic Meitei aspiration using brute force - of state police, commandos, Meitei Leepun and Arambai Tengol. They have caused tens of thousands to become homeless and refuges in their own country. The territorial integrity that the Meitei majority desired to protect is no longer feasible in the absence of emotional integrity amongst the people. In fact, in the absence of diversity, there is no requirement of integrity. The Manipur as it existes prior to 3rd May is now totally broken. The earlier Biren Singh goes the better for everyone including the valley based Meitei

As a Manipuri ...im still at disbelief that President Rule still hasn't been imposed in Manipur with the total 100 % breakdown of law and order in the state. Vigilantes group run rampant in the state on both side of the warring community ...and there is no sign of backing down from both of them...There has been calls from both sides to all young boys to turn up to fight for their community cause. I sincerely don't know what can happen these year to bring peace... These fight might be a long one...

A few points- - Blaming the state government is so naive, it's the central government which is proxy and buck has to stop at PM and HM doors. - Is political ascendency so profound that you allow the killing of more than a hundred people. - Not taking action or making any appeal by the PM seems to be part of the toolkit and USP of Modi ji. - Don't forget the fight between two states(Meghalaya and Manipuri)two months back, both ruled by the BJP. - Probably divide and rule is part of this govt's ideology. Moreover the various secret agreement the central govt takes in relation to NE are very short sighted. Shekhar ji I would like u to highlight the analogy of infiltration by few Pakistani across border that shook the whole country but whatever happens in NE are their problem and let they fight among each other and after getting exhausted, the govt would take the credit of bringing landmark changes. These attitude has been hurting the sentiments of the Manipuri and sometimes questioning if they are actually Indian for being so oblivious in the ey of Central government.

One cannot compare Modi and Indira was truly concerned about the country. Some of her decisions may be questioned, but had someone else in her position, that would have been the best decision for national interest. Modi is not concerned about country and its people in his heart. His heart lies in achieving his objectives which is not Nation first. Most of his actions are optics of showing national spirit, but core steps he takes betrays his statements. Modi's primary concern is to maintain his false image to home audience and abroad, not core concern of public welfare. He is more concerned about physical integration of states into his idea of a Hindu Rashtra, sans its people. That tells his silence on Manipur mayhem, wrestlers protest or of the farmers. He is not bothered about people's problems or their lives at all. But most Indians are simply fascinated by his Macho image built by carefully crafted choreography. How would one justify his wide mouth on a propaganda film Kerala story, and twisted connection of Bajrang Bali last month while a deafening silence on Manipur violence? Coz the former gives him mileage of his agenda, while the later will go against his plan for saffronisation of the North Eastern state. There will be people coming up with counter arguments, but would lack substance. His attempts to hide truth by force has something to do in promoting lies as it suits his agenda. He is seasoned politician in the field of using propaganda, armtwisting business and polarising people for political ends... I am sure Manipur is definitely an extended experiment of Gujarat potboiler, which will be extended to the rest of India where he is able to capture power by means other than free and fair election...
