Time for Tea with Alex, a Clinical Engineering STP

Hi everyone, I hope everyone’s having a nice week so far! I spoke with Alex, who is a first year Clinical Engineering (Undefined) STP based in London. Clinical Engineering is a conglomeration of device risk management and governance, clinical measurement and rehab engineering so on the Undefined stream you basically get to dip your toes into all three areas to decide what you like best! Alex has a background in biomedical engineering but wanted to use it more clinically so chose the STP! He’s done a lot of uni work so far, but is now based within his department. They do work with medical imaging and applying technologies to support disabled patients but you can go down lots of different avenues as he talks about. He is a wheelchair user so has a good insight from the patient’s perspective too!
This would definitely be worth watching alongside the T4T with Ella (Rehab Engineering), so you can see the differences and work out what works best for you!
