Slops are the contents of the drip trays[ beneath the beer taps] at the end of the day

Slopes are the beer spillages caught when pulling a pint, usually poured down the drain.

Slops !!! Not a skiing 'slope' or similar... The actual 'bar trade' term is 'ullage' and can be off-set against tax paid on alcohol, as fair wastage (either at the bottom of a barrel or when pulling a pint).

Loving your content. Please carry on as you are, it’s great. The "end of part x" screen was traditionally a formal and very polite way, a kind of Faustian Bargain, saying that there will now be a short period of some unwanted but necessary adverts, in case you would like to change channel, put the kettle on or go to the toilet etc., but we do hope that you will come back afterwards because we were so nice about it. A direct contrast to how these days so many TV channels often switch directly to adverts with a quick edit without prior warning, often turning up the volume significantly before you have chance to even notice.

Wow! Interesting comment during the Intro. Hey Brad! Ya know ya gotta sleep sometime, right? LOL And Brad brought back an oldie but a goodie from my youth. My "friends" used to use that argument about violence being used when one didn't have a better argument. Well, fair enough; however, the doctors loved me because I sent them so much business. I kind of wish that were true; however, I'm pretty non-violent for the most part so they got away with it. TeeHee

If I pass an oncoming car and the passenger is a woman, do I really need to tell you Brad what she is more often than not doing.

In the North East of England Women could go into a Working Mens Club or a Pub but only into the Entertainments Room or Lounge Bar , but never into the Main Bar , ( the Mens bar ), women knew not to enter the men's sanctum,, that went on until the early 90s, apparently still happens in some area's today

I used to work as a musician in showbands on the Yorkshire/Midlands pro club circuit in the mid 80s to mid 90s. One club in the midlands had folk explaining that women were only allowed in on sunday afternoons if they were bringing their fella his sunday lunch, on a plate wrapped in foil etc.

An American talking about the one break in a half hour program, how crazy are they, ? The last people to comment on advertising in programs when they stop their biggest games just to get a advertisement in, Oh yes they are Canadians which to the rest of the world is just the same, PS only taking the piss, or am I? The advertising side of things might be for real though

@williamhorton9763 I don't know? Brad looks like the type that if anyone was it would be him that's why he drinks and has a beautiful wife next to him, as a disguise, I hope he can take a joke? I wouldn't want him to get all emotional you know how these precious people can get, Only joking they're a great couple from what I've seen
